ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

They are going to win this at a canter. There is no team consistent enough to match them and they have already benefitted from VAR at key moments (including decisions going against their nearest rivals when things were still close). Its taken them a while and an absolute fortune, including tapping up of players to build their squad, but they've got the media onside with numerous ex players as pundits and a manager who they allow free reign to spew his vitriol at any time things don't go their way.

But despite all this they are going to end up on the same number of Premier League titles as Blackburn and Leicester. Only one more than we've got, incidentally. They will have the title but I'm willing to guess little respect from anyone outside of their fanbase.

They will be probably lose at city, but it will be of little consequence
Unfortunately, I suspect that you're correct. People talk about City winning every game from now and that's actually possible if you base it on last year's run.

What I simply can't see happening is Liverpool drawing five games from now until the end of the season, let alone losing the necessary four or five.

This thread reeks like a PEDded up footballer.

2 seasons at max output under Klopp before players burn out is my prediction. Last year and this. Hopefully they won't make it to the line this year. Salah is starting to fade. I'm crossing my fingers that Mane goes next and that Alexander-Arnold starts fading away.

Probably already said it but to me it was over when they beat Barcelona, since then they've been unstoppable. City seemed to burn themselves out in winning last years title and couldn't keep the intensity up.

I'm not so sure. Chief-manipulator Klopp has a large part of the football world wrapped around his finger, like he's the effing Oracle of something. Oh, they are also playing unbelievable football so will get a lot of respect for that. Let's not kid ourselves. The records books will say " Lovren and Henderson, European and Premier League Champions (and the World Charity Shield winners)". Let that sink in.

The weird thing is, those days that happen to every team where it just won't go in, and it 'isn't your day' - it just isn't happening to them. At all.

Something isn't right. I accept they are a good team, but I refuse to accept that they are 'thirteen points by Christmas better' than anyone else. Decent front three and a couple of decent defenders, obviously. But a workmanlike midfield and no strength in depth. It really shouldn't be enough for this to be happening, this steamroller effect

If 2 big decisions don't go their way (leicester peno, and Man City peno not given), the gap between City and Liverpool could be 6 points right now... If that was the case City would easily catch them 2nd half of the season.... Not even mentioning that Palace goal that was disallowed even though every weekend I see similar goals scored with no VAR overrule..

Also if we had got that penalty and dick van dijk got the red we would have easily won 6-5

I was unfortunate enough to spend boxing day at the inlaws. They spent the whole of our game chatting wham about how much of a cheat DCL was? And how davies was dirty? During their game I wss tight lipped I heard the words " "The FA and Sky hate us" and I couldnt bite my lip but just as I said pointed out how many pundits LFC and Man U have . The big red Oliver gave a corner to LFC which even the replay showed was bollocks having no comeback they then said "Harry Kane is skys blue eyed boy" which tbf I couldnt respond to as it was so left field. What is it about that club that turns people in non thinking zombies

Funny to think Liverpool's dominance has come at a time when their nearest rivals had an injury crisis, united arsenal and Chelsea all backing inexperienced managers and spurs faltering when they have been consistent for years.

They are the best team in the league by far at the moment no doubt about that. But going back when they last had their noses aimed at the title you had Ferguson , Wenger , ancelotti (or other decent manager) to match.
