I think fonder of him following the Koeman reign where he behaved like Harvey Weinstein with Everton on his casting couch.

Scored a perfect hattrick against Chelsea after not even starting a game. Also scored many of important goals for us. He wasn’t great but always worked hard and we have much worse than him.

Everton concedes 55 league goals in 15/16 with Stones and Jagielka as the main CB pairing for that season and in 16/17 the conceded 44 league goals with Jagielka and Williams being the main CB pairing. This isn’t a post to criticise Stones, more of a post to put some context Williams way. Of all the CB’s who have played for Everton in the last decade it’s a stretch to call him one of the worst two, although his attitude was atrocious in his 2nd season.
