How to become World Champions by only playing 2 games

As Adrian Durham said on Talksport - it's the Charity Shield of international-club football. In fact, it's the same as the Super Cup, pretty much. Similar to those cr@ppy 4 club pre-season "tournaments". Ok, they had to win the CL first. Fine. They have all the plaudits for that already.

Anyway, let them revel in it. The genuine, non-d1ckhead kopites (they do exist), are not making too much of it.

I actually spoke to a Kopite this morning, who agrees with the above.
He's a decent bloke as much as any Kopite can be decent and he said he truly wasn't arsed about the accolade of being world club champions. The CL was enough for him. He mentioned it being akin the the Charity Shield and I said that in that case the honour would not be appearing in their programmes.
Then the mask slipped as I went on to say that in the seventies and eighties any Charity Shield victory was not deemed a title and wouldn't appear in their honours list.
Typical he said if you want to know anything about LFC ask a bitter Evertonian.
Doesn't take much does it?

As per usual didn’t watch them (never do, and that includes recent derbies to avoid the inevitable). Much easier just checking full time score (I checked at 90, but then had to wait another bleedin half hour to check the damage).

It’s a great trophy to win, definitely elevates them having that FIFA badge on the jersey (cousin has it on a Barca jersey which looks class). The world club title is much rarer to win that the CL, and it’s the only trophy they hadn’t won (think United have won the complete set too). You don’t get many bites at the cherry when it comes to winning it, and It will get even harder to win when it expands.

Never believed the whole doping accusations some thrown around but it is a little odd how good they are isnt it?i mean not even clubs like Barca, City or Real look like they can touch them despite their being a good 4-5 in their starting 11 that is average to Everton level at best.

There’s Robertson who is probably the best left back in the world right now, Trent Alexander-Arnold who is actually unbelievable and those two have assist records the best wingers would be proud of. Then there’s Firmino who is excellent. Wijnaldum is also very good. That’s 8 or 9 players who are absolutely top notch.
