Doesn’t matter how many times we keep failing, we’ll always be able to take Southampton’s manager, we’ll always be able to take Watford’s manager, we’ll always be able to take any player outside the top 6 we want, the name Everton still appeals to any manager in world football. We are an institution and people hate us for it.

The reason we appeal at the moment is the same reason Fiorentina and Sampdoria used to appeal - we are in the richest league and have plenty of money to throw around.

Still makes me laugh, when I hear people have any negative opinions on this appointment. We could easily have ended up with Moyes, Howe or Dyche. Yes, they may have steadied the ship, and maybe have got us into the Europa in a season or two, but that's it. Ancelotti is a gamble worth taking. It could blow up in our faces, and the signs are there, from his last 2 clubs (Bayern and Napoli), BUT, when are we going to get a chance again, in the near future to get one of the worlds most decorated managers at our helm. I'm totally willing to accept this going wrong, and us taking a chance than to have watched another possible few seasons of a Sam Alladyce type managerial approach to our club

He's literally on verge of signing a new deal at Napoli. Think his agent has been throwing our name about to squeeze a few more euro out of the club.
