Our History is wonderful, shame it means nothing every single Saturday.

Means Nothing? To be Evertonian is born blue blood .3 generations in my family .No reds on our side .From when I could speak one of my first words was Everton, Getting tied to the bars in the Gwladys Street End with a scarf when I was a knipper so not to get swept away when Latchford scored. The hairs standing on end when Z-cars is played.
Nothing?Your lucky to have been Chosen to be an Evertonian ,the Royalty of the football league ,if you don´t like it you know what to do.......Wear red.I despair reading some comments of gloom on here I really do.

Has anyone noticed how certain posters have turned this into a "slag the club off thread"?

Should be ashamed of themselves.

I wasnt chosen, I chose, I went to Anfield lots of times as a youngster, cos my Auntie was the only 1 who had an interest in football and shes a Red, I never ever liked the colour red, I used to beg her to take to me to Goodison and to my eternal gratefulness She took me as many times as She could.

I still get the hairs standing up when Z Cars is played and the players run onto the pitch, but I dont see 11 heroes these days, I see a few, a few players I would die for, a few players who would die for this Club, but most couldnt care less.

I guess thats modern football, the Sky bubble.

But your welcome to sit in your own bubble, your welcome to recall the good times, enjoy the memories, cos thats what we have left now, memories of what was.

Bonus points for nearly calling me a kopite tho, props bro.

Ok, youve just shown our Club has a great history.

Now here comes the Ghost of Christmas present :

Dan Gosling allowed to move for FREE, all because so called "businessmen" couldnt get him to sign 1 piece of paper.
Club Signing Yakubu allowed to move on Loan to another Club all because so called "businessmen" cant run a business.
Player of the Season Steven Pienaar allowed to move to another Club on a nominal fee, all because we dont have a pot to piss in.
3 record breaking deals have been Published by the Club recently, The Kitbag deal that was going to turn us into Real Madrid, wheres the money?

I could go on, but I wont, cos quite frankly its all very despressing.

I see what you're doing Damon, but no one's ever disputed our past. It's the present and the future. Kenwright wasn't in charge when we signed Alan Ball, or Goodison was a venue in the world cup.

And actually, the present day problems are only exemplified by your list. Look at all the great things we've done in the past... and then look at this century. Ooooh first podcast.

EFC is a big club; a grand club, with a great history and a lot of values. That is why so many people are upset, distressed, worried and angry right now. Because all of that is in the past, and the present and the future doesn't look a shade as bright.
