ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Any one else think Leicester can do it again? 25/1 seems generous.

No European or World Club matches, giving them a week to rest and prepare for each PL match. That was a massive help with their title and Chelsea also had no European football in one of their recent titles.

Nope Leicester will drop points tomorrow

Hard to see them not winning it now, though I still think they are massively fortunate to be in the position they are. They could easily be eight points worse off without VAR help and goalkeeping howlers, with that scandalous penalty against Leicester the most significant of the lot in retrospect. Plus the fact that all of the so called top teams have crumbled at once

What makes me hold my head in my hands is not them winning it - considering Leeds, Blackburn and Leicester have all done so since they last did - but the sort of hysterical media we'll get if they win by a canter in March.

You can just see now the BBC articles like 'Are Liverpool the greatest champions of all time?' and 'Liverpool - The Greatest Team In World Football Now?'

A myth will build up that they won the league playing like Brazil 1970 and hammering teams 4-0 every week, at will. And that's what will be the lasting, sickening, legacy

I seem to recall much being made of them being 'the best team in Europe' last year because they won the CL. Now, if City win it this year and they win the league, how many people on the radio do you think we'll hear proclaiming City the best team in Europe? Yep, thought so...

Sadly I think Leicester are just too far back. Liverpool are almost certainly going to win the PL. I'm trying to accept and make peace with this fact.
As has already been mentioned, Blackburn, Leeds and Leicester have all won it since 1990. Its just the media sickbucket-fest that will follow.
Let's just try and win the EFL Cup and knock them out the FA Cup at Mordor.

Just typed AFC Bournemouth into Google to see if there’s any news on the injuries to Ake and Wilson (we play them next weekend, so would be handy for us if they’re not playing) and almost everything, actually it might be every link, concerns Liverpool and ‘talking points’ about their win. If you google Bournemouth you’ll see what I mean.
Well played by the way. I tried to convince myself all would be well but always feared the blood and thunder reaction and we got slapped by it in spades.

There was a hour a whole hour on talksport discussing why no one wants Liverpool to win the league, jim white practically begged any other fan to ring in, only liverpool fans rung in with the usual crap, theyre not us, jealousy, i was in madrid/istanbul, blah blah blah.

Honestly so many loverpool fans were apparently in madrid that day you should have been able to see it from space

Truth is its a combination of the media love in / the pathetic actions of the self important fan base (petitions, wanting a participation trophy etc) / the fact its funny to watch them build their whole year up for this only to be let down again and again.

It’s the headpatting. Good GOD the head patting. As soon as they’re swatting everyone aside it’s ‘oh rather see the blues win than the Mancs’ when if the shoe was on the other foot they would revert to crying man babies. For the good of ‘the city’. Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing some baffled kopites eyes widen when I say I’d rather Man U win the league every year from now till 2036 than Liverpool win it once. They’re stunned for words because they live on another planet where they head pat anyone who they beat and everyone loves them.

Its also that thing they do where they call us for all kinds hoping every team beats us untill we play a game they need us to win, like man city last year, then they miraculously expect us ro turn into a super team over night and when we dont win its, you let them win, yous wer cheering their goals, you wer their shirts. Self involved imbeciles

Liverpool have every single VAR decision in their favour and city every single one against them. I'm convinced it's fixed
