You’re right in what you say, but there’s also an argument (ignoring that it was them - it could’ve been anyone) that the loss was the end for him.

there was writing on the wall already with some odd things said by him towards the end of the season - didn’t he say if he won it he’d leave?

by losing, and losing in a pretty uninspiring fashion, this season needed to start positively - like that was a step on the journey and they are coming again stronger - and it’s just been obvious that actually there’s a lot wrong.

Strange goings on.

said the man who thinks young black lad Sterling brought unreal levels of hate on himself for buying his mother a house. You can rip up history all you want, Everton have made progress, your club continues to be a racist club and thats based on very very recent history. You have backed that up with your own racist views on Sterling
