It's all well and good saying that, but what if the club have sounded them out and their demands are too excessive, or Everton don't meet their prerequisites.

A club with genuine ambition, who have done their research and recognise they have the right man, gets the deal done. Even if their demands are excessive - put a price on a top quality manager able to convey and implement a vision. You can’t, it’s priceless.

I'm completely at a loss right now.

I don't think he deserves the sack, but 1 win in 6 games is relegation form - whichever way you look at it.

We've lacked any sort of consistency this season. I understand his reluctance to make changes when we're unable to gel as a team, but I also understand the fans frustrations with his away tactics.

There's something fundamentally wrong at this club. The mentality is poor.
One point from six very "winnable" away fixtures should please god our board be deemed unacceptable.

But we are going that way we can't win games we get beat by poor teams we have not played anyone decent yet.We are crap.

I'm quite confident we won't get relegated. The lack of wins and amount of defeats to utter dirge is concerning. But... try and enjoy your night I guess, I'm done letting Everton spoil the weekend :pint2:

Served badly in the summer by Brands; suffering with a load of injuries.

There are valid excuses.

We need to see how the players react in the next two games. For me, we have t win both. If not, he';s on thin ice. That's just the way it is with fans: they forget about the hand he was dealt this summer.
This is a wind, up you are good, but not very good.

Crap VAR, (first pen given by it btw), and a 93rd minute OG after his sub scored to put us 2 1 up isnt bad luck? Jeez.

No. It’s not bad luck.

To suggest it is, in my opinion, forgives the performance.

Yet again, we concede a goal and melt like a solero on a hot day.

Point I am making is that if that game finished 1 2, this place would be different. And on the pitch, he done ok, like he did last week.

Of course it would, such an obvious statement.

but it didn’t and we have lost 5 out of 6 and 60% of our games, that after an indifferent first season, hence people calling for his head, especially as we sacked another manager with an even better overall record for similar form.

Not his biggest fan, but feel for him today, he made proactive changes, take and advantage only to have victory cruelly snatched away. Dont think the board will make a decision based off that game tbh. Hopefully we use us against the world mentality to galvanise the squad moving forward.

Yeah, if hes any sense he's using today to get the old bunker mentality going.

It's terrible luck, but the game was over 90+ minutes and we needed to get at least a point today.

Bad luck coming on top of bad performances just looks like the sack to me.

Every manager will say if only things went our way.

I stopped going 7 years ago as I realised it wasn't fun in any shape or form. Going the game was supposed to be an escapism but I found it a chore in the end. I don't subscribe to the TV sports anymore, enjoying the NFL redzone for free on a Sunday is more than enough now.

I used to love going in the 80's / 90's.

Anyone could win stuff back then and it didn't cost the earth to go. I had some good years with my friends and family.

Those days are long gone now.
Sad really aint it. I miss going to Goodison, living over here but whenever I do make it back it usually ends up being a none event anyway. Its a dead sport. Will only become more commercial and further away from its roots. Sky will continue to pump out their narative, the sheep will continue to flock to those clubs who get the exposure and the gulf will only get bigger. The old man gave me this stat when we were talking about the game: Their have been 3 winners of the FA cup outside the top 4 (or 6 as it now is apparantly) in the last 24 years. That goes back and includes us winning it in 95. Its a big myth this cup thing.
