Now is the perfect time to sack Silva. The season is still salvageable, we're just five points off seventh, still in both cups and going into an international break. We won't get a better chance to move on then now. Please just act for once Everton!
We can get something out of this season if things improve quickly.

A Gueye shaped hole in MF doesn't help either.

He had the defensive heart cut out of his team from last season: Zouma and Gueye. What manager wouldn't need time to get their bearings? He didn't have a long pre-season with replacements did he?

Then you don't play the same way but he still does. It's like us trying to play as if Lukaku was still there. It's daft.

The centre back paring is fine. If Mina wasn't injured, Zouma would've been a bench warmer. He took his chance. Now he's at Chelsea and end up a bench warmer when Rudiger and Christiansen are back.

They employ different types of technical director. It's a spectrum that runs from control freakery to light touch tone and philosophy of playing style.

It's ridiculous to call them all DoF.

No DoF job is the same, that is indeed correct.

But every club employs somebody who oversees recruitment.

Apart from Eddie Howe who just rings up Liverpool when he wants a player.

I have no axe to grind for Silva. He gets mitigation in the sense (as you acknowledged a few weeks back) he was not best served being left hanging without a CB.

We're into a bad cycle of fans hiring and firing here. How does that make us attractive to the type of manager you or others may have in mind to come in?

He has 2 of the 3 CBS from last season. And neither of them have been injured. He was hardly left without one. Even if we had brought one in, they would still be on the bench as wouldnt have been put straight in. Substitute CBs are not the cause of Marco being terrible.

And gueye going, while a big loss, having delph and schneiderlin available should still be enough to beat most of the teams we have played.

You;re not giving that point the credit it deserves, tbh. You dont just adapt players not suited in two months of football. Blame the DoF for the necessity to adapt his new players.
