Well played, gaffer, well played.

Regardless of the result, the mindset and tactics were absolutely spot on tonight.

More of the same!! (y)

Which is what we've always said and what a lot have pointed out from the start of the seasn.

Be less stubborn, use your squad and play players that will work against the opposition rather than the favorites.

Even players like Heitinga...who looked at home at the back, was up for it. Yak should've buried a golden chance. Saha was reborn.

These players are meant to be off and worthless - tonight showed they're still got it and have the class if used right.

Said it in the match thread, our link up play, passing and movement from front to back flowed and looked better, sadly, without Cahill. But like i've always said...depending on the opposition - he's useful.

Its all down to how we go on from here. But if it keeps up like this....I dont think we need loans.

Fair play to Moyes, he did experiment and it pulled off. The Beckford/Saha partnership is awesome and Yakubu did well when he came on aswell.

I knew he was going to play a conventional 4-4-2 and it worked, Piennar looked ace with a bit more room for himself and Neville was immense.

Just goes to show what affect a bit of attacking intent has on your team. Kudos to Moyes for playing two natural strikers together but it was a long time coming.

This.

Moyes got it right today, the subs weren't too bad although Yak should have buried his chance. Good result overall and a good performance from everyone.

Exactly what I have been saying, the players we have are good enough just use them more effectively which Moyes did tonight. Having said that there were times when we were close to snatching a draw from the jaws of victory. At 2-1 we sat back a bit and allowed them space. We should have had a bigger margin if our finishing had been better.

May not have been pretty but the 3 points were needed.

MOM is it Baines again?

As I've said in the past, I don't mindlessly criticise Moyes. When he gets it right, I'll say so. We could have lost tonight and I still would have applauded the performance. This was a 2-1 win with a solid performance - the City game... not so much.

Moyes literally did everything correct today. The subs were right, the starting eleven, the tempo... everything.

Very, very well done. Glad to see the ginger isn't as stubborn as I thought!

I wouldnt worry about it. Things get heated.

But it proves you had a very, very valid point.

Its how we turn up for the next games that counts.

Sorry if that came across as "I told you so" I didn't mean it! I'm just so bloody happy seeing Everton playing football again.

How feckin' good was Seamus Coleman! Seriously, made Bale look like Naysmith on a bender!

Good for you, but some people put thought into their criticisms.

The big one for me, is that Moyes waited 21 games to finally play a positive formation like that. I know we love Timmy Cahill, but we've been able to see for a long time the problems our strikers have had playing alone; isolated. Lo and behold, playing 2 of them -- including the defence-irritant that is Jermaine "Actually has some pace" Beckford, actually yields some results.

So fair play Moyes, for today. He got everything right. But to ignore the fact that we're 21 games in is foolish. He should have done this sooner. I don't want to be a spoilsport, mind, so tonight indeed they can all take a bow. They were all solid, great or pantswettinglysexy. Nice.
