But the next manager probably will be as well unless he does an unbelievable job. There are so many people who want Silva done and have the idea that we will get something special in to replace him, I just can´t see that happening.

We probably won’t, but let’s go for the very best and work our way down. That’s what top clubs do. Or ambitious ones at least.

You have a point there. The biggest issue for me is we used to have an identity as a club. Sure it was “best of the rest” and “plucky triers” but at least we had that “us against the world” feeling that the best managers always tried to instill.

Frankly, I don’t really know what we are at the moment. underachievers who splash the cash like drunken sailors?

I think as well it was more satisfying as a fan to be doing more with a little, than doing nothing with a lot!
