This is bang on. After the 17 day break last year he was good but prior to that he was all over the shop and seemed to show no comprehension of the offside rule.
If we can get him great but he’s certainly not the be all and end all of centrebacks and if Mina and Keane form a solid partnership I’d rather have those two than Zouma.

It is an option. I'd throw a cheeky bid in for Umtiti personally. Not sure whether he'd come but he certainly knows enough players here, including 2 of his fellow defenders. Throw it in Wednesday so Barca haven't got long to think about it. They need the cash by all accounts.

Yeah replacing as in another CB, but they might not see Zouma as the man we need, I dunno, I like him, but a lot have bought into him as a nice guy / personality

I think he fits in well with the squad and is a good foil for both Keane and Mina, so from that point of view we know it works. But I'm not one of those who doesn't think Mina and Keane can work as a partnership, so I don't think his signing is essential. However he does need replacing in the squad and there are better defenders out there we can go after.

He's played the full 90 in both of Chelsea's last preseason games. I'd be astonished if he came here.
What will happen hopefully is we throw enough money to tempt Chelsea into something where they at least have the conversation with Zouma.
Give him a decision to make.
Sometimes there's a time to leave and I think this is his. Get his career on track.
In terms of the teams there's not a lot between us currently and I can see why he would want to come despite starting last two.
You know that even if he starts the season for Chelsea as soon as Rudiger is fit KZ goes on the bench ( at best ).
