Clubs in Scotland and the Championship may have an interest in him, but they will be afraid of his injury record, so will only be interested in a loan where they pay half his wages.

A player in his position would normally be happy to run his contract down and leave on a free next season, but he will probably be worried about his own injury record, and the possibility of him getting crocked half way through his loan. Which would pretty much bring his career to an end.

He would therefore probably prefer an actual move that gives him a contract of several years. However, his wage demands would have to drop to that of an average championship player if he wants that to happen.

Either way, Everton aren’t going to get any money out of him, and Brand’s task is to save as much money as possible on this liability.

True mate. He will probably leave on a free next summer. Who gave him the new 5 year contract...
Unbelievable really. No excuses. He's made more than 100 of us added together over the past four years to sit on the sidelines and do nothing. Leaves a horrible, horrible taste in the mouth.

Can’t see him being of any interest to any club who could match his wages.

Championship or SPL bound. So can’t see us getting a fee. Giving him a pay off more like.

Actually SPL for Celtic or Rangers whichever he prefers will be a good move for him, no?
Or else I could see him at Leicester, Newcastle or Bournemouth
