The penalty issue that he missed where he wanted to score in memory of the Belgian lad who had died I think the day before really screwed him up mentally as they were very close! No one genuinely knows that makes him tick anymore

He’s our own version of the problem Madrid have got with Gareth Bale. Both unwanted by their club but on such contracts nobody else will touch them with their own money, it’s for the patent club to find the solution, not the player.

Hopefully the club will find a way.
Most likely though is that he leaves for good when his contract ends next summer.

Obviously ideally both would be sold and all wages removed but I can't see that happening.
