Dream?

Can’t believe some people want us to sell one of our best and most consistent players

1 -- Hes 30 in september. Last chance for a payday

2 -- We need to rebuild the squad and a large fee for someone can go a long way.

3 -- He doesnt suit a 433 system

4 -- There are better, younger players out there

5 -- What have we achieved in midfield with him?

Id MUCH rather we had a great all rounder like Neves at Wolves or a monster like Sangare at Toulouse.

I want to see improvement.

4 - name one for 35M. Sangare can be great, but he's no Gana, yet.

I doubt that. I'm not sure he's in love with Silva. He'd also be expensive and I think Brands would go after 2 CM/DM types to replace him that would be cheaper with upside.
Yeah probably right, I just wondered if it might suddenly come out of the blue like Richarlison last year. But you have to think Brands has irons in the fire if Gana does go.

Lookman and Gana wont be the next 2.

If I had to guess it will be Garbutt and Pennington, Bowler is also close to a move.

Garbutt = ipswich
Pennington = Derby ?
Bowler = Hull ?

That right ?

Especially with how open the league seems to be this year outside the top couple of places. Let’s have an actual go at it shall we?

So, what youre saying is that we should throw away money on the off chance we can beat Chelsea, United, Leicester, Wolves and Arsenal for 4th place?

Id rather we are sensible and build a top quality young team that can dominate.

Why £35mil ? Just because we sell a player for say £35mil doesnt mean we will spend it.

I think if we sell Gana we'll bring in 2 midfielders anyway.

If we can continue to evolve and start laying roots to cement a place in the top 6 id be very happy.

I think we'll all be impressed with who Brands signs.

Just a shame that player is the most important one at the club

A tackle machine? He's not getting into a world 11 is he...or a premier 11.

Id be chuffed if we sold him for a good fee, not only due to his age but because we can evolve as a team.

He may be an integral part of a below 6th place side in the premier league but he isnt the fulcrum who pushes us into the top 6 or the top 4.

We need a Keane / Vieira level player to do that.

Totally forgot Luke Garbutt was still at the club, couldn’t they reach some sort of agreement over his contract and move on?

Yet he's moving to PSG...

3 -- He doesnt suit a 433 system - He does

4 -- There are better, younger players out there - Who ?

5 -- What have we achieved in midfield with him? It's not him who is the issue, he is a vital player. Hence why PSG want him.

I rate the boy very highly, but I see where Zat is coming from.

We can roll the dice and try and do better, I know you think there isnt better, but there is, somewhere out there.
Or
We can keep him and keep plodding along with a player who does boss tackles.
Or we take door number 3, and bring in players to fill holes we actually have while retaining our top performers.
