I’m going to go out on a limb and say we need three more transfer windows including this one in order for us to be in a position to genuinely challenge for the top four.

We still have so much squad surgery to do given the gross mis-management of years gone by that it’s unrealistic to believe we are near that yet.

Marcel Brands could prove to be the best signing that Everton have made in the last 30 years.

We were playing bad football, but we weren’t in any realistic danger of relegation after the first 4/5 games under Allardyce (arguably even earlier than that)

Attacking wise baines still has a lot to offer , so your basically basing your opinion on the assumption that Digne is going to be unavailable for a period of time when we play all the big teams in which we will be defending primarily?

He's old, he's injured constantly and he cant defend.

No denying he’s got loads to do yet Dave but he’s starting off ok. Gomes is a steal and then Zouma, then we can actually look at building on last season.
