Dean Saunders bang in trouble with a drink drive not guilty plea.

Petitions imminent.

He is charged with failing to provide a roadside breath test without reasonable excuse.
The ex-Reds frontman is also charged with failing to provide a breathalyzer test at Blacon Police Station.

The trial will be heard before District Judge Nicholas Sanders.
Saunders will be represented by Conor Johnstone of MAJ Law.
The trial will take place on August 28 this year at Chester Magistrates Court.

Saunders was placed on unconditional bail until that date.
At the conclusion of the hearing, DJ Sanders told Saunders that, if convicted after a trial, the starting point for sentencing for such offences would be custody.

Curious to see what excuse that soft blert is gonna come out with for failure to provide, and by going to court and not holding his hands up to this straight away I hope they launch the book at him for wasting time and resources on this self entitled meff,,,

Top football journalist brands Dean Saunders a 'pillock' for 'embellished' story about a drunk Brian Clough

Taylor contrasts Saunders' story with Roy Keane's opinion of Clough, with the midfielder having played for him during his final two seasons as a manager.
"As far as I’m aware, Keane has never told a story, or embellished one, about Clough, with his drink-ravaged face, in that difficult period, 1991 to 1993, when the deterioration set in," Taylor says.
"Maybe it’s true, as Keane once said, the game is full of bluffers."

"And sorry to be a dreadful spoilsport – I’m fully aware I will be told to get a sense of humour, that it’s banter and LOL – but I’ve started to wonder whether Saunders might actually be a bit of a pillock."
