I’ve managed to avoid most of it in the media, stayed off twitter etc the only thing I can’t avoid is the ones in work. But to be honest they’re not too bad, they’ve only mentioned it the billion times instead of the trillion I had them down for. It’s still early though, god give me strength. I’m fed up already.
Sat next to a Newcastle fan, a United fan and someone from Middlesborough who is aware of football. Work is eassssssssy. Thanks to the almighty powers that be that I changed seats a while back otherwise it was rs central. Not watched the tv since.

Do you know what, defacing St. Rupert's Tower? Doesn't bother me. It's not like they hurt anyone. One of them made themselves look like a plank to anyone with sense in their head, and they wasted valuable council cash on a clean up job. Eventually the drip drip nature of these things will turn the tide against them in the publc eye.
I really can't see that.

Thing is why camt Liverpool start to do something about the behaviour of there fans.
If Chelsea can punish fans why cant they ever do it, the more they get away with the worse they act.
This is it, it's now become the norm to get their knobs out in public, openly stealing off each other , violence , racism and abusing disabled people, horrible club to the core, the club are proud of them though.

Tbf outside of this thread, I haven’t heard or read anything bad about Liverpool or their fans during or after the CL win / parade. All I read was how big the brand LFC is and how they contribute to the City’s economy. Although I completely believe that Echo is a sold out and PR machine for LFC but other reputed media outlets in UK and World can’t all be in the same page and praise LFC even if their fans are bad.

Bit of an aroma here

Straight out of the kopite propaganda hymn sheet this one
To drive this point home

From the Anfield Wrap article that helped you all get your arguments ready...

The needless deaths of 39 football fans on May 29, 1985, has been — and will forever remain — an indelible stain on the reputation of Liverpool fans. But that it is used as an opportunity to point score is a sadness in itself. It is also among the motivations for trying to put the record straight with what we are doing here

It is not to seek forgiveness nor friendship. It is not to score points or distort the truth. It’s a matter of record. A matter of respect. And a matter of honesty

The prosecution rests

The Anfield Wrap?. Hahaha. Again, turn it in. I’ve never even been on the Anfield Wrap website. I presume it is a website?

Ok, then, could you please explain to me exactly how I am washing away Liverpool’s horrific history?
By reducing criticism of the club's actions at Heysel to mere point-scoring in the same manner as The Anfield Wrap uses that defence to reduce the impact of that tragedy and deflect any and all rightfully-deserved criticism towards the actions and words of your suporters and club.

I'm not shocked that a kopite can't see why brushing that criticism off as "scoring points" wouldn't see that as washing away history.

We welcome fans from all clubs on the forum, ask @Yid4life @FOXINPEACE etc. They are comfortable enough to come on and openly be fans of the club they support and whilst we ridicule them from time to time they don't generally get a hard time.

It seems to just be the kopites for the most part that hide their identity and do this weird thing of trying to be an Everton fan, I mean some go to extraordinary lengths and must do a large amount of research to pull it off, we've seen it many times. It's very odd.
