I'm happy that Moyes took the decision to drop him yesterday. We looked much better without him. I've been very disappointed by Heitinga. Whether at club level or even internationally, he doesn't seem to have the concentration or discipline required. He seems to view us simply as a stepping stone. Athletico actually took a loss on him, which was very surprising, as his pedigree is very good. Considering that we got him on the cheap, if we could make a profit I would be happy to let him go. Otherwise, I'm not desperate to get rid of him and I'd be happy to wait and see if he comes good.

Fellaini and Rodwell looked good together yesterday. One went forward while the other one minded the shop. It's definitely something that we need to give a chance to develop. Heitinga is simply a utility man for us at the moment and not one that I have the greatest of confidence in.

Regardless of his standing in the international team I wasn't convinced he'd stick it or be here for long, and as it happens he doesn't seem to want to either. In simple words he's an mercenary. Get the monies and move on.

we shouldnt be getting rid of the likes of Heitinga and Pienaar, we should be playing Heitinga in his right position of centre half.
Get rid of the dustbin instead.

If he isn't putting in the performances, get rid. Thank him for the one good season we got out of him, and get our money back and send him on his way. Remember, that is allegedly 65k a week stinking the place up. If we are paying someone that much then he needs to be performing.
