Very much enjoy the telephones in these.
Wolves problem is 10 of their first 11 played 30+ games this season. 9 started 30 plus. At least 3 or 4 played 35. You can't do that when you start in July and play twice a week. They need serious depth.I can see wolves getting a bit better, a lot depends on how they can manage the squad for the early Europa stages but I think they'll be there or there abouts too.
The fact that we havent signed any of those players speaks volumes.![]()
Everton 'preparing for possible Pickford exit' - Have 'contacted' €20m goalkeeper's agency
It looks like Everton are the latest club to join the race for the Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen. The claims come from the Portuguese press today, who have been following the player’s situation for a while, since Benfica were interested in signing him this summer. But now newspaper A...sportwitness.co.uk
Interesting bit from RBM's write-up on it:
Interestingly, Cillessen is represented by SEG (Sports Entertainment Group) who are also the agents for a number of primarily Dutch or Holland-based players. Everton’s Director of Football Marcel Brands has previous experience with dealing with SEG, and some of the top players they cover have been linked with the Blues before - Memphis Depay, Stefan de Vrij, Kasper Dolberg, and Kevin Strootman. So are these rumours about contact between Everton and SEG really about Cillessen, or one of the other players?
The problem is we arent making enough in your scenario to come anywhere close to making up the difference. We are probably set to lose 20 on Bolasie 10+ on Cenk and Walcott and maybe close to that on Niasse too. To also get no real production from any of them is terrible business.
I would only sell them if we could get more. 15 million for a 21 year old who scored double digits in an ok league isnt enough quite frankly. If we can't get more than stick them in the team. I know none of them have shown they can play at this level but I also don't think any have shown they can't.I’m interested to know who you think we should sell, how much you think we could realistically receive for them and where you think we need strengthening?
You seem to be against selling the players we can actually sell for decent amounts.

Thought it was Anichebe...!Yakubu lost a bit of weight.
B-but... the low participation?I can confirm that this is not true

Continuity is a meaningful thing in football. We will improve more if we add 4 or 5 players in key areas and only sell far fringe players than if we bin off everyone not in the first team and try to find new first teamers. Think about the changes from first to second year under Koeman. I understand the youngsters are the best assets but to me it's keep them or keep McCarthy, Niasse and that group.
How much can we receive? Probably not enough to make it worth selling all 3. I'd say 25m should be the lowest for any of them. You haven’t really answered what I asked but thanks for the reply anyway. I think we need to sell them and get rid of the deadwood as well if we’re going to be buying a top class centre back, right back, midfielder, winger and striker that we need. Unless you’re suggesting we either don’t need all of those or are expecting moshiri to fund it all?
