Don’t know too much about Llorente but just having a quick read up on him, seems to be a tough, aggressive ball playing centre half.

Zouma still my preferred choice as I’m sure it is for those at the club, he’s formed an excellent partnership with Keane. But if Chelsea won’t sell, I’m confident Brands can get a quality replacement.

To bring us to new heights, we need 3 key exciting penetrative dribbler type of players in 3 key positions:

1. CF, players having attributes the likes of Suarez, Aguero (very few in the market up for grab)
2. Attacking Midfield, players having attributes the likes of Hazard. (That's why we should keep Unpolished gem like Lookman, and with right attitude and drive could be future star with such mould)
3. Winger. A strong winger with attributes the likes of Mane, Son HM who can penetrate n score and be good backup for either Bernard or Richarlison. (A thing about Bernard is he's a bit diminutive in physique to be able to hold on to possession for long while penetrating. His asset often lies in quick turns or wrong footing defenders for quick crosses rather than taking on defenders for longer dribbles).

If we can get two or three players of above calibers in above mentioned positions, our team can be formidable under Silva style of play.

Currently, the potentials that rumoured to be on the horizon are:
1. Neres (left or right winger) from Ajax
2. Depay (CF) from Leon
Both young and exciting. Will add to this list as off season progresses.

A penetrative dribbler?? Good Lord it sounds like a @Bungle post.

linked with some players today,

Reece James from Chelsea, RB was on loan at Wigan last year, 19 years young
Shinji Kagawa, from Dortmund, was on loan in Turkey last year, 30 years old, seems like a west ham signing to me
Rafael Leão from french club Lille, CF, 19, fast and skillful, looks good, could cost a fortune though.

Meanwhile;
Baines linked with Villa,
Pennington linked with Derby
Kenny linked with Burnley (loan)

I really hope that rumours such as the Kagawa ones are exactly the kind of lazy journalism they look like, but Everton have Evertoned my expectations one too many times for me to be 100% he won’t be lining up behind Welbeck next season.

After Brands outlined the strategy, I imagine we’ll also be linked with every semi-capable teenager in football.

My
So basically we need a striker like aguero, and 2 wingers like Mane & Hazard

No flys on you

My points are that we can't be stronger as a top 4 team if we can't get players that can hold on to possessions and also be able to penetrate. Players like Sigurdsson, Walcott, Tosun often loses possession when challenged.

i would take Andy Caroll easily, great warrior when he is not injuried, class player for a substitute and way better than DCL (even if i like the kid)

Of curse we could have better but we need two more strikers and he is a free agent. I'll take him rather than NotSoWellbeck a hundred times.

Solid views on Digne from what I remember mate o_O

Good player but it’s a position they need to improve on as he’s not the best going forward, I wouldn’t be surprised if James takes his place next season tbh

Literally one of the best players in the league, James played for Wigan on loan albeit he played well, but he isn't close to that level.

The only thing I can say about Llorente is there are two other players called Llorente that i'd rather have than him… and I said the same when we made those offers to him in 2017...
