Could have been Pompey couldn’t we mate? Oh that classic has returned.

We aren’t QPR, we aren’t Portsmouth we are Everton now start acting like it
Ok - by doing what?

If you have the secret for eternal success that every other club doesn't have, then spill it here.

Man U got lucky with an exceptional manager they very nearly sacked after 2 years. There is no secret. Other people's money tapes over gaps, and buys success demonstrated by City Chelski and the rs. Again - this wasn't by planning, they got lucky as they were randomly picked by foreign investors. They haven't planned for or earned success, they bought it.

Is chariman during the worst period in the club's entire history, has overseen failure and failure after failure and supposedly nothing is his fault. He just stood their helplessly as everyone else ruined one of the most successful in the game.

I was wrong he has achieved somthing here, his ability to convince great swaths of our fanbase that he's anything other then an abject failure is nothing short of astonishing......

If you want to know anything about Bill Kenwright´s reign at this football club, look no further than the fact the most talented English footballer of a generation had to leave his boyhood club because we were so miserably bad.

We should have built a team around Wayne Rooney and won trophies. Instead Bill flogged him for two installments of £10m and a few add ons.

Giving Rooney away.

That's the tip of the iceberg I've just thought of in 30 seconds. The blame lies directly at his feet and the sooner this utter cancer and his cronies are out of this club the better.

Being a jinx would imply that there's an element of luck involved in our failures during his period as chairman rather then the methodical stripping of aspirations and ambitions that he's overseen. Luck doesn't come into it. He's created a culture of mediocrity at this club were we just shrug off the endless list of failures and endlessly wait for the next false dawn such as laguable scrap of media spin about a supposed new stadium and wildly celebrate fluke wins againt half decent teams because it doesn't get any better then that these days.

There are two parts to the Kenwright era, the first is where we were really cash strapped and he did well to stabilise us as best he could, but then the second is where he wanted to keep control too long. I would guess that was not in a Machiavellian type way and like Del Boy he thought next year he was going to be the chairman that took us to a trophy, but whatever the reasoning it has always meant we were behind the curve.

Even if you say the Arabs would have always bought City, Kenwright turned down the money needed to buy into Kings Dock from inside the club as it would have meant he had to step down. So to summarise he is probably well meaning but incompetent.

The same old excuses are being trotted out, I see. The fact is that if Everton were up for sale tomorrow, and some feller had to borrow the money to buy the club in the first place, and had a business plan of putting no money whatsoever into the club for the next 15 years, he would correctly be viewed as someone that is totally inappropriate to be in control of Everton FC. And that's always been the case with Bill Kenwright.

Him and his team are a master of spin, and he did a great job in reducing expectation and portraying himself as some kind of saviour and the greatest Evertonian in the world etc. The truth is that we had more ambition and more success under Peter Johnson, and Kenwrights tenure is going to be viewed as the utter failure that it was when it is viewed in retrospect.

Who else we going to blame, Jimmy Martin the kit man?

Must have been putting fleas in our Premiership title quality squads?

He's where the problem lies for me, imagine turning up for a game and you realise Jimmy hasn't got last weekends skid marks out of your shorts, it's bound to inhibit you a bit and make you self conscious as you run around the pitch trying to disguise the stains.

Seems we've stumbled across the root of all our issues here.

Yes, if it wasn’t for Bill Kenwright we’d be filling a 100k seater stadium and would’ve won the Champions League 10 years on the trot. Damn him.

If it wasn't for Bill we would have had kings dock, we would have had the basis to attract investment, we would have kept Rooney, we wouldn't have had a generation of fans thinking Europa league is a great achievement.
