New Everton Stadium Discussion

Is the word Minimum new to these post? Minimum of 52000 seats? Hopefully it gets up to around 55,000 for me that would be ideal
I think it is new. My hope is that they announced 52,000 is an initial tester, then after the consultation, they’ll say they have listened to fans and increased the capacity to 55,000+.

It makes them look like they care what we say.

Sunderland: 22,500 - 49,000
Increase: 26,500

Tottenham: 36,284 - 62,062
Increase: 25,778

West Ham: 35,016 - 60,000
Increase: 24,984

Arsenal: 38,419 - 60,260
Increase: 21,841

Manchester City: 35,150 - 55,017*
Increase: 19,867*

Everton: 39,572 - 52,000*
Increase: 12,428*

That puts our sham capacity into some sort of perspective. Why such a low capacity increase? A potential 12,428 capacity increase is pathetic. Small time thinking from a small time board.

Yeah but Goodison was bigger then all those old grounds to start with.

Everyone:

Using single use plastic is a serious hot topic at the moment causing environmental pollution, they literally found a dead whale full of plastic bags the other day, we need to stop everyone using it.

Spurs:

Let's give 17,000 of our fans a plastic bag to hold up for a few minutes.

Can't wait to get an Everton one to hold up at our new stadium

Juventus went from stadio delle Alpi with a capacity of over 67,000 to the 41,000 seater stadium. No one can say they lack ambition can they as the facilities are miles from the old ground they were in.

Can you please tell me why you are comparing a club that is from a league that has serious corruption, violence and racism issues to clubs that are/were participating in the best league in the world?

You were making the point about stadium capacity and ambition I merely cited an example that contradicts your point that’s all

I listed clubs in this country, clubs we’re actually competing against.

Juventus, and the Italian League, cannot be compared to what is going on in England.

It is a fact that we have having a much smaller increase in comparison to the other English teams.

Has the final capacity been released then ?

Also we would be adding between 12-15,000 to our existing capacity with a quantum leap in facilities built on an iconic location.

Where is the lack of ambition?

Like you said I could give a monkeys about other clubs I’m only interested in mine.

The club have announced their intention to build a 52,000 stadium.

Why is it iconic, btw? Kings Dock is iconic, but that was another blunder by this hopeless board.

The lack of ambition is building such a small stadium. We’ll be with the Leicester’s and Wolves’ of the league, once their expansions are completed, not the Top 6.

Behave

Stadium capacity does not dictate if your a top 6 club or not the team on the pitch does
