It seems like you have erased the Chelsea second half from your mind and the full West Ham game. Glass half empty. Our last 135 minutes of Football have been excellent and if that is a sign of things to come then I am on board.
Mmmm. West Ham,and Chelsea who just managed a last minute winner v the mighty Cardiff.Sunday will give a clearer picture.

Because we have appointed ass clown managers.

Any half decent manager with the funds Moshiri has provided would have us 7th - we are 4 points off that now despite having had relegation form for about 3 months and handing Wolves and Watford 4 points each.

Our fanbase need to get off their knees and start acting like a big club and not some Burnley or Bournemouth happy to just experience the premier league experience.

You seem to have np patience for a re-build. Think you just want a new manager each season until we break into the top 6. Not going to happen, in fact it would be more detrimental.

What you are saying there is what Brands and Silva are saying all season but not everybody is listening.
The progress we see will probably be incremental and will take a few years to challenge for a top four position, if the recruitment policy proves successful and Marco Silva delivers as coach/manager.

The hope is that the players we sign during the summer settle quicker than expected and are able to perform to their expectations just as quickly and that could move the process forward.
This season we will probably finish eight, ninth or tenth and next season maybe sixth, seventh or eight.

The season after that will be the third full season under Silva, most of the older costly mistakes will be washed out one way or the other, the team at that stage will be almost a Silva/Brands creation and we will more clearly see what they have created.

Yes I agree mate, a valuable life lesson I could give to anyone is to listen to what people are saying properly and they will likely tell you everything you need to know. Very often we all hear what we want to hear, or think we should here as opposed to what is being said.

Marco Silva said something like "it's not just about spending money, but how you spend money. Spend money without a plan and you won't be successful". To me that doesn't mean there's no money to spend, but nor does it mean we are going to try and blow opponents out of the water financially as it won't work.

Not only have we got to get new players to come in and hit the ground running, but we also need to see improvements from existing players. The best way of doing this is to give players more time at a club. In most cases the longer stays at a club, the more familiar they get and the more consistent their performances become (often at a higher level).

Next season Keane, Sigurdsson & Pickford enters their third seasons at the club, Calvert Lewin, Gana and Lookman their 4th. With the exception of Gana and Sigurdsson I would imagine all have a good chance of further improving their performance levels (given the age of Gana/Sigurdsson the hope has to be they maintain this).

If we can sign them up I also think we will get more consistency from Zouma, Gomes as well as Bernard and Richrlinson. If Mina can get a pre-season behind him I also think he will kick on.

Thats before any new players are recruited. The gap to 6th remains a large one but who knows.

Silva has input but final decision is Brands. If Brands says no then it's no.
Silva doesnt sign the players.

Brands only signs ballers?
I have no knowledge of the inner workings of their relationship. You need a real ITK for that.

Oh right Chelsea are crap then so lets not count them. Lets just look for all the negatives and exaggerate them. No positives this season let's move on and get another manager in.

Are you for real?

He has a 3 year contract- there is a reason Mosh never gave him a 4 or 5 year deal and that reason is he has to show progression.

Moshiri said 11th isnt good enough this year and we need to be challenging the top 6 in the coming seasons - how do you justify Silva getting potentially 2x average league finishes when he could very well spend near £160-200 million in those two seasons if we spend the money we think this window (Zouma and Gomes alone will be around £50 million)

You Silva fans make me laugh, you talk the talk about giving him time to show his quality yet are already making excuses for another potential average league finish next season. Its Roberto Martinez and his fan boys 'IT WUZ BAINES' all over again.

You couldn't make it up.

Or maybe wait until the season ends before getting too carried away?

OOOh! sorry pal didn't mean to get your back up.

???? They are literally 1 point off 3rd in the table. If we beat Arsenal are you just gonna come up with another nonsense excuse like “yeah but they only beat Brighton 1-0”
I'm not making excuses for anything or anybody, just not getting carried away by a couple of decent results and one and a half good displays.
