And Burnley arent a side that NORMALLY finish 7th, like last season, whilst in the Premier League they have finished 18th, 19th, 16th, 7th and are currently 17th, so they are where they should be. I mean they didnt even get past the play off round, so you can hardly blame the Europa.

The teams who can cope are the ones who can cope with a Premier League season anyway, United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
We cant even do a full league season looking professional without it, add it and we have problems.

we have just about got an ok 11.. we defo haven't got a squad good enough to compete in the prem and in the Europa.. look at the state of us last time in it.

Im not as cup mad as most people.

I realise its been ages, but for me progress is more important than winning cups, cups arent something you can just set out to win, they are things that just happen. So our main focus for me should be to play in Europe, every season, get our name ringing out. Cos Carlos Kickaball doesnt care which English team wins the League cup before he joins.

Plus I keep reading about how good our yoot is, so we can cope with a Europa, even if we use it to play the under18s.

Not really, I dont really rate many of our yoots, but its not as if we have seen any of them, a Europa campaign would allow us to give a few of them a run out.

id rather miss it for a year and get a good pre season in and shift some of the crap out.

if we end up with Europa we will be forced into thinking we need to keep kev the rat and snidefraud etc etc to cope with the extra games..

You see I see no reason why we cant have a good pre season, shift the crap out AND play in the Europa, you should give Marcel Brands more credit then you do.

As I say, I would imagine rather than keeping tosh, we looked towards the yoot set up.

I can see Unsy moving on at the end of the season, so suspect an U23 manager will be brought in whos main concern is developing yoot, rather than putting their own interests first.

If we don’t Europe what’s the point in even playing. You should be aiming for highest position no matter what. There is no point in saying we could do with missing out on Europa this season when you could miss out on it for the next 10 years. Take what you can while you can.

That sounds like an agenda driven comment. Don't you see signs of improvement in Everton? If we add some consistency to our obvious talent, and get in two or three, maybe four first team players, we will need to think about developing the squad into a squad that can play European games in addition to domestic competitions. Theres no reason why we shouldn't have as much confidence in doing this than any other club.
