It highlights a little the sheer scope of the job that Brands will have on his hands this summer. I count roughly 18* that I would be happy to retain, so thats 24 I would be looking at getting rid of, I mean thats very optimistic, but anyway. Then we would need to add 5 or 6 of real quality.

I think Vlasic / Onyekuru and Lookman were signed for about £25mil.

If we did decide to sell them along with Niasse and Tosun then it makes a very nice transfer pot.

Have to say I was all over the prospect of Tierney but Digne is 10 times the player. So far anyways! Still fairly young too

The problem this season with Tierney is he's picked up a similar injury to what Andy Murray has had operated on. If you've seen Andy Murray trying to walk never mind actually play tennis then you'll see the problem Tierney possibly has.

Having watched him last season he was by far the best defender in the league and more than likely along with Dembele the best player in the league. I'd say a better prospect than Roberston but now I'm not sure he'll come back half as good if the rumours are true...
