Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

He's a genuine blue. He didn't go to the RS

Like Rooney, get over it. When his career is over there'll be none of this McMahon 'I was always a red really' rubbish

Good luck to him. Football isn't like it used to be when Tommy Lawton went to the game on his bike

genuine blue that rejected a move to Chelsea 6 months earlier so he could sit on his arse whilst injured picking up wages from the club he "loves" and get a big fat signing on fee from the rent boys costing us millions in the process

he lost his right to be called a blue, he's a disgusting rat, absolute nonsense that he done nothing wrong

no one would have been arsed or blamed him if he had gone to Chelsea originally in the summer when they first come calling, it's the way he went about it

I thought he got into some dangerous positions for them and chose to pass. Even the free kick he took was hit half speed into the wall. I dont think he had any intention of scoring yesterday.

I genuinely don’t think it was sarcastic. I think he was either trying to show respect, build bridges or he actually thought they were cheering him. If it was sarcastic he’d have to have actually done something to legitimise him doing it.

It was genuine applause to try and build bridges. To be honest I was a bit disappointed he was given pelters back in response.

never quite understood how football fans who call someone all sorts can then get offended as soon as they get a bit in return (in this case the hideous crime of clapping in an alleged sarcastic manor)

I thought it was quite funny tbh. But thankfully we piped him down on the pitch. He was his usual self yesterday. Decent in the middle of the park with a lot of nice touches, but then completely ineffective in the final third where it really matters.

I personally thought he was being sarcastic with the clapping when he came off

I understand why he'd feel that way, but on the same token it doesn't help his cause if he ever wants to heal the wounds created by the way he left

I find the whole thing depressing really, and wish he'd never left. Ross Barkley should play for Everton, to see him in another clubs shirt just isn't right

Was I drunk or didn’t he have his hands all over the Chelsea badge? I even thought he was about to kiss it at one point
There are two possibilities here:
1) He was about to sarcastically kiss the Chelsea badge but thought better of it and applauded our lot instead.
2) He forgot he was playing for Chelsea, went to kiss the "Everton" badge, composed himself and applauded our lot.
