I expect more. However, I buy into the fact we are in clearing debris mode at the moment and that we have to provide a base to shift off from.

Asking for patience and support for the manager isn't too much to ask. We're taking some short term pain for long term gain.

Yes but we hit 8th with that debris and with a messed up season consisting of 3 crap Managers and so 8th has to be the base to shift off from to move forwards. Equal is stagnation but people would be patient but less than 8th is backwards regression, cannot be anything else. We started shifting some of the debris before this season started and brought in better so it is definitely not unfair or impatient to have expected 8th or better this season and then better again next season.

The way this season is panning out, there is a good chance we might not even finish in the top 10 which is absolutely appalling taking the base to shift from into account. That is why people are losing patience.

We are 1 transfer window away from competing, sadly tho we are 3 or 4 VERY GOOD transfer windows away from challenging.

Competing is 6th or 7th, getting a win or 2 against the big clubs.

Don't get me started on the Everton reporters they are clueless.

We've played more decent football this season than any other point since the back end of the Koeman first season...and that was only because Koeman let the players do what they were trained to do under Martinez.

So Martinez got 5th in first season thanks to the players did what they were trained to do under Moyes. Got it.

I couldn't care less about this season's position, tbh. We wont fall below this and we'll probably end up 9th.

The most important thing is that Silva has this season under his belt and we can then see what he does to put us right.

We HAVE to make a stand as a club to keep a manager and give him time. We cant afford more churn.
