Arsenal at home are definitely beatable. Their defence is worse than ours. How they've got aubamayeng I don't know. Won't be long before he throws a sulk to go

22 out of 39 points we won before the first derby. That cratered us for months. We won 11 of the next 42 points available.

The Cardiff game can be another pivotal point. That game and derby have yieded 4 points and if in the last 8 games we add another 12 or so that will be about 50 points, 8th or 9th and a decent first season start for Silva after Koemageddon.

Yeah, and Koeman, Allardyce were not 'new type managers'. A 'Silva-type' manager instead of Koeman would have been better in hindsight. Koeman was like a low-budget low class Mourinho hired gun. If our strategy is with players and managers to take a chance on people with ambition and potential, then immediately post-Martinez we should have done that.
Oh well. We live in hope.

None of our last three managers warranted a job here, in my opinion, but maybe that just shows what level people outside of the club actually think we are.
I thought the Moshiri ‘project’ may have changed that but clearly not judged by Silva being the best we could get.

No they don't, but Moyes respected our club by seeing out the season. At the end of the day, he was offered the chance of managing Manchester United, a team full of superstars, with a huge budget and Champions League football.

After 12 years of managing us on a shoe string, who wouldn't of jumped at the chance?

As for Baines and Fellaini, Baines stayed and Fellaini also jumped at the chance of CL football, more money and a higher profile club.

Nothing wrong with ambition in my eyes.

I don't get all the negativity surrounding Moyes at all, no i dont want him back as manager, that ship has sailed, but i do respect the time he was here and i certainly do not harbour a grudge about him moving on to try and achieve the things he couldn't achieve here.

Except he wasn’t given as much money as he would have liked.

And the superstars he had he made watch videos of jagielka lol

Just interested @davek do you think silva is the man to take the club forward. There has been a lot of upheaval at the club since Koeman left and obviously we need some kind of stability, but is silva that man to bring that stability and ultimately the progress we crave?

We'll find out if he gets the players he needs: principally a striker who can score, a right winger and a right back.

This is a young team Silva has put together too, the effect of having a season under their belts cant be underestimated either.
