Very dangerous putting your eggs in one basket or the other at the mo. Silva in or out.

There’s too many arguments both ways to be certain. I was very very much OUT but I’ve taken a step back and can understand the arguments for keeping him a little more now.

I’d still be leaning towards out if I’m pushed but it’s a difficult balance. Probably all depends on now and the end of the season.

I was bored on my lunch today and predicted every match between now and the end of the season. Has us 9th. Which is a bit crap isn’t it?

Still. I did have City winning by one so I’d love with it I reckon.

The problem with keeping him is what if he’s not very good? We don’t want to keep a poor manager do we? So how long do you leave it before even more damage is done?

But he’s seemingly done ok last 2 games. Maybe keep in mind that it’d be ace if this carries on. Then fume when/if we balls up again.

What a load of waffle.

absolutely this ^^^

the football has become so so so bad, that people are now celebrating a nil nil in a derby game at home, which didn't saw us have 3 attempts on target and not trouble their keeper barring a lame header.

they are in a very bad run today and we should of beaten them.

It baffles me what you expect this crap team of ours to be doing.

So are you now very much OUT, much OUT or OUT?

A draw against Liverpool isn’t really enough to convince me he should stay. We are 6 points off a newley promoted team and Watford ffs. He still firmly belongs in the bin... our style of football is wank as well so it’s not like he’s really improved that area either... unless your standards required are “marginally better than allardyce”.

Situation hasn't changed for me, we need Brands to work wonders this summer and give Marco the platform to excel next season. Marco had to stop the rot and prove that he deserved beyond the end of the season, he's in the process of doing that now. Still some work to do, but it's looking brighter now. We need that stability, it's good for everyone. Look at the state of Leicester since they won the league, they're turning into a bit of a circus, and I don't want that here.

Spot on. As Liverpool tired and became even less potent, look at the effect Gomes had when he came on.

Get that defence sorted properly and get Gomes signed permanently. 2 of the priorities this summer
He was never gonna fix it all in one year.

Give him time, give him a proper goal scoring CF.
I think he deserves huge credit. Show me a better pair of performances home and away against Liverpool from anyone in the league apart from City? If it wasn’t for a freak mishit keeper error goal (which let’s face it was nothing to do with Silva’s planning) we’d be looking at a pair of 0-0 draws here with us having chances in both games to win it. City aside no other team has even come close to that. Both performances were carried out without the sit 11 behind the ball tactic either. Especially at Anfield we went toe to toe with them. At Goodison not as much but we still had the same number of attempts on target as them. United and Arsenal have both been battered by them and got draws at home, Spurs have already lost at home, Chelsea held to a draw at home, everyone else has been on the end of an absolute mullering at some point. Wolves lost 3-0 at home. There’s us effectively negating one of the top attacks in Europe for 180 mins and the response from some is ‘FFS Silva why didn’t you get the win’. They’ve lost one game all season and have a team hosting the worlds most expensive centreback and second most expensive keeper yet we were a bit of better finishing away from beating them on their own patch. Two great derby performances that bode well for our future under Silva. He knows how to play this mob perfectly.
If we're top half and getting some decent wins and performances without a striker by the end of the season and that clueless carpetbagger got shut of Silva I;d seriously consider swerving Everton. The club would make no sense to me anymore.

It did'nt convince the owner either by all accounts, he thought we should have won it.

BBC report:
"The trick for Everton is too repeat this effort and application on a regular basis, not simply when presented with the opportunity to inflict some damage on Liverpool. The occasional rousing of the spirits is not enough. Consistency must be found."
About sums it up for me,if we lose at Newcastle, yesterday won't have much meaning.
Great report from the BBC tool whoever it is...sounds like that 'kin rat faced McNulty.

Still licking their wounds after their team were denied three points.

pretty much what i and @BigBlueNose have been saying.

on par or marginally better than Allardyce isn't what anyone wants. Realistically we should aim to get back to the consistency and quality of the Moyes-era and the first seasons from Martinez & Koeman. It's not a big ask, but Marco doesn't yet look like answering it, neither has he previous pedigree which suggests he might get there given time.

You are late to the party Dave, but welcome nonetheless.

Thus club stopping “making sense” to me round about 1991 or ‘92 when the hamper man took over :(

McNulty is an Everton fan and his point is legit
He's about as big an Evertonian as Nick Barmby. Despite what he claims about allegiance he speaks out against Everton all the time. Just for hounding Joe Royle out of a job here he should be ignored.

He;'s a laughable hack with no understanding of the game.
