ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

We're in a position I'm just pleased to be in, given that they had the title in their hands two months ago if they'd beaten City (or even drawn with them): they now have City breathing down their necks, and they come to us this weekend...a team with a completely free hit that can do them a lot of damage.

<relaxed>

Pressure is all on them to preform.

Can I borrow some of that relaxed feeling? Although, the derby trots don't start until the morning of the game, these years. I just know we will have a new and inventive way to lose.

City coming out of this weekend one or two points ahead with 9 games to go would be a very nice position considering where they were before the game at the Etihad.

I think that relaxed feeling may translate to our performance. in fact I'd say they play like they double dropped Zanex.

They HAVE to win. There's pressure on our lot to perform too, but it's not as intense as the pressure their players are under.

We'll see, but I think we can deny them all three points. Draws are certainly not beyond us in this fixture - 5 of the last 10 derbies ended in draws. That would be a big blow for them.

Maybe. Maybe not. That's the point though. We have a decent chance of a good draw at the very least.

That'll do me going into it.

Inappropriate Language
Liverpool were 6 or 7 points ahead at one stage? I’ll take being one point behind and 10 games to go with man city.

If Everton gives a [Poor language removed] about Liverpool winning the title, they should at least give a decent effort.

I said in another thread today that 3 games in 6 days for City at this point of the season is a huge ask...especially with ET and pens at Wembley.

If they beat Bournemouth it'll be a huge victory.

Should be an easy win really, Bournemouth have been hit badly by key injuries, other than that weird 4-0 against Chelsea they've been in free fall this calendar year.

I hope so, obvioulsy. But two games in 3/4 days after that brutally draining LC final is going to tell. They can rotate, but they have limits. Just look at how poor Mahrez was last night.

I said last night that City need a massive De Bruyne input of his best form to get through this period.
