To all those convincing themselves that it's over for Liverpool, I would have thought you would know better than that. They are still top of the league ffs and City have shown they are capable of dropping points. I'll join you in celebrating only if City go four points clear, as it would require them to lose two and the RS to win two (due to their far superior goal difference). But for now, I'd probably keep quiet and hope they actually do mess it up, which they quite clearly have not yet.

Don’t know how serious the injury is to Fernandinho but we saw before Xmas the loss felt by city when he was out of the side. He is the glue that holds it altogether and allows their creative players to express themselves. I think winning today, will hopefully give City the impetus to win on Wednesday, but if Fernandinho is out for any length of time, then of course the pendulum swings back in favour to Liverpool.

Makes the fact Spurs lost to Burnley all the more frustrating.

Their fans must be tearing their hair out.

Exactly. In my mind the two additional points that Jordan Pickford gifted them will very, very likely hand them the title.

Watford h
- They'll grind out a win here.

Everton a
- They'll win this.

Burnley h
-Easy win.

Fulham a
- Will smash them.

Spurs h
- Won't lose. Go for a point.

Southampton a
- Easy win.

Chelsea h
- Same as the Spurs game, won't lose. Will go for four points from the Spurs/Chelsea home game.

Cardiff a
- Looking at Southampton's fixtures, I think they'll be down or as good as down already, so Cardiff virtually safe by this fixture. Liverpool win.

Huddersfield h
- Already relegated, extremely easy win.

Newcastle a
- Potentially tricky one, but a nothing game for Newcastle who will already be safe. They could have the momentum here to snatch the points.

Wolves h
- Again tricky, I see Wolves needing at least a point to get seventh from Watford. If the title is on the line though Liverpool will win.

I give them 27 more points at best. At worst 23 where they draw an additional two I predicted they'd win in. Let's say 25 and they end on 91 with a goal difference of around +55.

That said..

If City can get 26 points from the games below to also end on 91 they'll win on goal difference.

West Ham h
- Should be a routine win.

Bournemouth a
- Have to expect they'll be able to grind out the points.

Watford h
- Surely take the points.

Fulham a
- Easy win.

Cardiff h
- Easy win.

Palace a
- Concerned about the next three. Going for them to draw this one.

Spurs h
- Think Spurs could nick a point.

United a
- Very hard. United players won't want Liverpool to win, but won't throw the game. Another draw.

Burnley a
- It'll be a must win game, and they should be able to do it.

Leicester h
- Leicester nothing to play for, safe, City win.

Brighton a
- Is the title is still to play for they'll win this.

Gives them an extra 27 points to win the league by a point, meaning they could lose one of the games I've put them down for a draw.

They're not scoring and they look like a haunted group of players and management team having seen a possible 10 point lead turned into a fragile one point lead in six weeks.

They need goals, because draws are killing them.

I still stick by making them favourites, but whereas a fortnight ago I made them 4/6 favourites and City 6/4, now I'd place it at Liverpool evens favourite and City 6/4. City have losses in them, but Liverpool have draws...the question is how many each team gets of each.

I'll stick with the real bookies 4/7 city

The next two games for Liverpool are crucial. They need all 6 points. I cant see them getting them. And I'd back us to take 2 or 3 points off them more than Watford, tbh.

Nothing like a game against Everton to get your season back on track.

I would be very disappointed if I were an RS tonight.

United were injury hit before they started......they sustained three more injuries and had used all their subs by half time....they as good as played the entire second half with ten men as Rashford was nowt but a passenger due to an injury.

Plus they played absolutely crap.

The whole three points were there for the taking yet they never even looked like scoring.

Definitely two points dropped.

Exactly. My point is more the BBC justifying the behaviour. I've noticed a few times the BBC live feed is totally biased in Liverpool's favour. They have to be fans who work there.

Needs more managers and players pointing out this bias like Mourinho did.

I know we’ve All been watching the results but just looking at the recent form from this year The RS still have a great chance but the difference is pretty stark . City have won 13/14 in all competitions and the RS 3/10 , in the league city have 21 points out of 24 and the RS 12 out of 24 .

It’s far from over but it’s tough not to give city a big chance, this week is huge and if city can edge ahead by a week today then they’d have to be favourites . If the RS are still there then it’s probably them in that position .

The game this weekend is the biggest since the FA Cup Semi in 2016.

A win would lift the entire mood around the club, just as the horror show in December flattened it.

Victory would see pressure ease on Silva too and give him a memorable victory, something this dreadful season has yet to offer. It could give him the spring board to succeed or see the search for a new manager start before Easter.

It's unthinkable for Manchester City to miss out on the league title and it end up in the worst place imaginable.

This game really is much more than 3 points. A must win game, as that Semi final was for Roberto.
