Christ, imagine the amount of guff Pienaar would have got on here back in the day from people using his WhoScored page to determine how good he was, because he hardly ever scored or assisted.

Bernard is quite clearly one of our most gifted natural footballers, and needs longer than 6 months experience in the league and about 10 starts to get used to the physicality. I’ll be quite happy to judge him next season, but you giving him 6 months to have his stats up to an acceptable number for you just sums up the modern fan imo.

You put him in with other players who will move for the ball, can actually control it under pressure and pass it off instead of getting it and running into defenders we'd see how good of a footballer he is

Dani olmo from dinamo Zagreb could be bought this summer and he's class, de bruyne type of player

Would guess Brands will be looking at a few players of a similar ilk that are left in the Europa League. I'd take half the Salzburg team and their manager too, that Schlager and Samassekou in the middle look quality.

I like him but we desperately need some athleticism in the middle and he’s not that.

He’s played 24 games out of 27. I think we need to go away from decent options. Especially ones that would cost 30mil.

Hmmm maybe Brands will have a cheaper option. I quite like him although he could just be a slightly better DCL. I know this we need two strikers.

Don't think he's a player that would take us up a level, he's nearly 28, will be on relatively big wages and Palace won't want to sell - should be looking outside of the Prem as we'll struggle to find value getting players in from other prem clubs
