As much as i didn’t want him in the first place - I backed him. And I now want him out.

BUT — he will get til the end of the season at least... and I suspect he will have til Christmas to save his job.

I’m holding out for hope that we limp to the end of the season and then within a month all the turd has been cleansed - that SHOULD loosen the pursestrings and allow us to recruit.

If he stays he has to convince zouma and Gomes to stay - I think them two in a settled team will be a different prospect

That's why he's a failure, wrapping these turds in cotton wool week in week out. I have never seen a bunch of mismanaged players. My 8 year olds team gives more effort.

Someone needs to motivate these players. We have a squad good enough for 7th place. For some reason they are just not performing. I don't think Silva will suddenly get them playing well unfortunately.
 
Reading a history of the American Civil War I came across this letter written to Confederate President Jefferson Davis.

"The present alarming crisis, so far from arousing people, seems to have sunk them in listless despondency. Enthusiasm has expired to a cold pile of damp ashes. Defeats, retreats, sufferings, dangers magnified by spiritless helplessness and an unchangeable conviction that our army is in the hands of ignorant and feeble commanders, are rapidly producing a sense of settled despair."

Listless despondency, expiring enthusiasm, defeats, retreats and sufferings, spiritless helplessness, ignorant and feeble commanders: sounds very familiar to Evertonians. The Confederacy staggered on for a couple more years but it didn't end well for them or Jeff Davis. Will it be the same for us and Marco?

Does Brands have anything to do with recruitment of coaches? The soft way we concede goals will undermine any motivational speeches or acts of defiance etc. Cant help but think of how the last few months would have been like if half the set piece goals hadn't of gone in. If buts and maybes, and is no use to us now, but I think the narrative round the club and the body language of the players would be very different

I really hope that Brands is responsible for picking the next manager. I'd hope he's already assessing potential replacements, sounding people out etc.

Well, taking them for a holiday in the sun isn't going to help a lot is it. If they want a holiday then they can pay for it themselves, they can well afford it as they are a bunch of millionaires who drive top of the range cars we can only dream about and shag top model or beauty queen WAGs. About time they started to earn their money,bunch of arrogant mercinaries. Silva's not going to motivate them by spoiling them even more.
