Well hes here to stay so lets get behind him. Sounds like we are going to pursue the spurs model which I think is the right way to go. Lot of pressure on brands and silva to get the acquisitions right in the summer. Spurs have done remarkably well to bring in the players they have and then develop them into genuinely top class league players. Heres hoping we can do the same.

He is only “here to stay” if he gets results.

The same with any manager at any football club in any country in the world.

In short.....if results keep on going the way they have been going he won’t be here by the time the clocks go back.

If results improve during that period he gets to stay.

But be under no illusions....this current state of affairs will not...must not...be tolerated for too long.

Hope you mean clocks go forward....

I think there is a perception problem with Marco. He needs to project himself more during the game and show us a bit more. He needs to be a bit more proactive in public settings and get out on the touch line and move and communicate to the on-field players more and be seen to do it.

At the moment, I just see him folding his arms and scowling. I honestly want to shake him as he looks like he is an total stupor as he moves towards oblivion.

This is a constructive criticism. It may not help his actual performance, but right now I am getting frustrated with him.

Is he really under pressure ?
I know he got the dreaded vote of confidence from Moshiri, but I wonder if that is just genuine support.
When Brands and Silva were appointed last year the situation relating to the size of the squad and it's wage bill was a huge issue back then.
I think that Silva probably knew back then there would not be money to spend in the recent window and Marcel Brands will have understood the task facing Silva with a squad which was facing relegation a little more than twelve months ago.
I think Silva will be given this season, the summer window and most of next season so that we can see where the improvements and maybe so that we can see the path for the future.... it is at that stage I think he will be judged.
