FA Cup is exactly same as the League Cup seeing as they both have exactly the same rules and you get exactly the same prize for it. I see no reason why a team would ever put a weakened side with either competition to be honest. I'd dearly love for us to win either one.

Definitely agree on the active participation being an big influence on how it’s viewed, just think given how hard the cup is - I would like to see them award the winner a CL’s spot. Would just give it a bit more glamour at a time most teams would prefer too 4 than win the cup itself.

By the way. I have never viewed the F.A. Cup as anything other than a boss comp. It’s the only thing we are like to win in the near future and I pray to all the old and new gods we do.

Its gone downhill since the bigger teams started playing weakened teams as the Premier League money went so mad.

Champions of something in a Champions League eh? It's a novel concept that may just work! I think the national associations themselves get to pick what qualifies for Europe so I don't see why they don't do it. Probably the Premier League being far too powerful I would imagine.

Well hes here to stay so lets get behind him. Sounds like we are going to pursue the spurs model which I think is the right way to go. Lot of pressure on brands and silva to get the acquisitions right in the summer. Spurs have done remarkably well to bring in the players they have and then develop them into genuinely top class league players. Heres hoping we can do the same.

Moshiri speaking out is ominous for him. He has to eventually turn it round. We can't just keep getting beat by poor teams.
I know we all have our own views, and some think we are becoming a laughing stock, but would we be less so if we sacked yet another manager so soon? I still remember Howard's first managerial stint at the club. There were those calling for his head too.

The Spurs model...

Sanchez - £40m
Moura - £29m
Aurier - £25m
Sissoko - £35m
Janssen - £20m
Son - £20m+
Wanyama - £15m

`a bit wrong'. Understatement of the century.

But I bet you wanted Alladyce sacked when it was going `a bit right'?

A bit wrong yes, we are 9th not 17th, I was happy to back Allardyce until it became patently obvious that it was more about him than Everton

Come the business end of the season in a race for fourth Burnley away in the league is favoured over later rounds - all in a bid to ensure that wonderful fourth placed position.

Stinks, but hopefully one day we benefit from playing a weakened team.

In fact scrap that, Millwall played a weakened team hah.
