You throw out the Watford and Hull City stats like they affect this season's Everton stats. Sure, Everton gave up three to Wolves. Liverpool gave up three to Palace - the 5th lowest scoring team in the PL. Their defense must be crap. They gave up two to a team of farmers in the UCL! Citeh gave up three to Palace too! They must be crap on defence.

One off games don't prove a pattern.
Topping the conceding at set piece stats table does.

I have teams here that I've attended games for and followed nearly religiously since I was a child. I don't pay to watch them if they aren't putting a product out that I like. I try to be reasonable when I look at the outlooks of the teams I follow. Everton's squad is still a mid-table squad. I think we all knew that at the start of the season, or should have known that.

Eyes can deceive. Easily. Give your eyes some context to help.

Silva not being able to put a mid-table squad in the top 6 in one season isn't a concern to me. People look at the turnaround from people like Mourinho to Conte, winning the league a year after they finished whatever position. Everton's squad is not nearly at that level to allow such a turnaround. When Everton add players like Hazard, Kante, D. Costa, Azpil, Higuain, etc, then I'll expect results faster.

I get being frustrated with the situation that Everton have put themselves in over the past 4-5 season, but there are no miracle cures.

As someone who goes the majority of games believe me we are garbage.

Moshiri's comments are increasingly pointing towards the purse strings being closed so if he cant get a tune out of this squad he has to go.

Having a poor squad hasnt stopped Leicester, Watford, West Ham and Wolves from beating teams in the top 6 this year.

Richarlison
Digne
Pickford
Gomes
Gana
Siggurdsson

5-6 of those players would walk into most if not all the sides outside the top 6 yet those clubs look miles ahead of us.

Ive already stated how his record with conceeding set pieces hasn't changed since his Hull days yet you realistically expect him to ever bring us success when we cant defend a ball into the box?

And wtf you dont rate the league or FA Cup?!

Baffling.

Will he be pragmatic tomorrow? Try and be at least a bit more compact its our only chance, if he tries to go toe to toe as I expect. We are getting well thrashed. We might lose anyway but digging in and showing some fight would at least give us a shot of something look at Newcastle that's what they did. I just can't see us being solid or not committing too much and being picked off.
We tried that last season and the game was effectively over after 15mins and dead and buried by 40mins.

Probably right we get beat either way. Just think he does need to make us more solid at home. We just go kamikaze at times. Other team's just sit in and wait for our mistakes and pick us off. Easy to play against.

Richarlison - maybe
Digne - yes
Pickford - maybe
Gomes - maybe
Gana - yes
Siggurdsson - meh

That's what I think about your players list. How would you rate the entire squad compared to Leicester, Watford, West Ham and Wolves and why?

Pick and choose your own stats to be mad about. It's not my business. They aren't the runaway leaders in set piece goals allowed.

The set piece defense has been bad. Not catastrophic.
I am frustrated more than mad. I want to back him until the weekend I was, but he's showing little progress in fact we are going backwards. Its not the position in the table for me I accepted we would be mid table this year. But its the lack of basic organisation, heart and actual game plan those are coaching and tactical issues, the players we have should be doing better. I want stability I want to back him but he's making it very very hard. If you have the wrong coach you are building on sand.

See your being very subjective that you accuse others of. Everyones slagging our side at present and calling Richarlison, Gylfi etc. Average at the moment because we are playing crap but go back to when we were winning games and people were talking about Richarlison going for £100 million, Gylfi proving everyone wrong etc etc.

Its easy to over hype players when its going well and call them crap when the teams in a slump.

To answer your question our squad is better than all of the sides outside the top 6 (wolves slightly beneath us when both at full strength).

Still need a new CF, RW, RB and CM however Silva is currently bombing at present with what he has.
