I dont think we need to worry about not wanting to do the RS a favour against City. I cannot imagine any scenario where we could beat City anyway. The last 2 months atrociousness is not going to suddenly disappear after 4 days i.e last Saturday till this Wednesday. We are heading for a proper trouncing and the only question that remains is by how many goals will we be beaten.

I have got no confidence at all that this Everton team and Manager can competitively compete with any team in the league or even the league below for that matter currently. It is criminal that we are in this state nearly a year after the so called reset or rather half assed reset would be more accurate.

I hope we don't try and kick them off the pitch and end up with 10 men. No pressure on Silva in this game as realistically he can't do anything against their players with this team. Just keep it tight at the back and maybe they might coast after taking a 2-0 lead and honour is satisfied.

Doubt if we will get close enough to kick them

WE NO LONGER BEAT TOP SIX TEAMS

WE HAVE BEEN LIKE THIS FOR A LONG TIME NOW

We have been undermined by a toxic undercurrent within our club. Some have described this as a curse. Others blame everyone from top to bottom, including us the fans!

It has proven extremely hard to define how or why this happened. Thus at this moment in our history a cure seems unlikely. So no need to get hyped for this one lads. Take some comfort knowing we will be aiding their title charge ;)

WE WILL LOSE

We all know deep down that it won't be a hard fought loss either. You won't be telling your mates how the lads put in a proper shift and that we are one or two players away from competing.

You won't be praising our manager for tactically adapting, by utilising a different system, to frustrate them. Instead we will pass it around the back, over and over and side to side until we realise there's no point. Then we will roll over and ask our master to tickle our belly. We've seen the script play itself out on multiple occasions now.

WE ARE EVERTON

After reading all your doom and gloom on here I am unwavered in my caution. You have a good record against us, particularly at home. I'm not too optimistic, I certainly don't think you'll lay down and die. We should have spanked Newcastle and look what happened there.

I'm hoping you are saving all your energy and focus for Liverpool at Goodison, and don't turn up against us;)

Horrible scenario really. Any Evertonian cant really want us to lose, but deep down if and when we lose, we will probably not feel as bad as a normal defeat
If they lose or draw tonight it would be nice to see City go top. The last 2 months have been unbearable. Social media and around the city and towns.
Now this is Everton FC though, you just know we're gonna end up winning.

Lets just look at a perfect scenario here
Everton 0-1 Man City
Everton come out with a lot of credit after a fantastic performance
Everton 1-0 Liverpool
Everton get away with cheating, murder and cost them the league in controversial fashion

Anyway I think we will play ok and lose 3-1

We are beyond awful. Will be a handy 3 points for City

We're gonna get spanked anyway. Best scenario for me is he plays Stek, Davies, Feeney, Zoums,JJK, Shneids, J Mac, Walnut, Lookers, DCL, Tosun. The RS will fume, some of our lads get a rest, and that's the only way I see a positive outcome.

How many of you criticised Moshiri when he said 'expected loss'? I will be surprised if we don't lose because we're so poor right now, but Newcastle beat
them and they've been poor for longer than us. City sometimes take a while to break lower sides down and I'm not expecting a heavy loss.

We are really bad mate. Worst we have been in years. The only thing you guys need to be cautious about is whether you crack too many ribs with laughing so much. I would be laughing myself if it wasn't the team i have supported for 50 years. It has gotten that bad now that even the local cats are trying to get on the field and help us and they have more energy, ability and interest in it than the team does.

Hell with it, support the team. God knows we need it. Hope Goodison roars the boys on.

I mean, what difference does it make? We're not looking likely to get much. Would rather go down fighting and City win than sit there miserable and lose anyway.

More importantly I'd like to see the players give a good account of themselves against the Champions so we actually have something positive to build on going forward (esp with the derby creeping up). These "hope we lose 10-0" shouts are disgraceful, even if they're clearly in jest.
