he's inherited players who are not only bad, but also some of the "better" ones who simply don't fit his system

that's not really his fault.... it will take 2-3 windows to be able to judge Silva's performance in my opinion

the set pieces is a deserved criticism, though
The thought of giving that clown 2 or 3 windows makes me sick.

Must admit I did not want him here as I thought he was Martinez mark 2, based on his previous record. However I was encouraged by the signings we made in the summer by Brands and was prepared to give him a chance. At the start it seemed to be going OK, but the last 2 months results have rather destroyed my initial optimism. He seems to be as stubborn as Martinez in not knowing how to defend, and also not having a plan b when things go wrong...I dont believe he knows how to rectify matters. I did not expect him to be serving up the dross seen in Martinez season 2 & 3 as quick as he has, and was fearful of sacking yet another manager and having to start again. However, there is absolutely no excuse for that display today...we were slower, less interested, and Wolves deserved the points. He probably will get to the end of the season, but I can totally sympathise with fans who want him to go now. Mr Brands's role now takes on a whole new dimension....does he have a say in choosing another manager if Silva does go? or do we carry on with Billy Liar and Moshiri's failed appointments? if the latter, then I fear we are headed towards the Championship sooner rather than later. Hi Jose....can you come and sort out the mess that is EFC? only asking........lol

On paper though, our players look better than any team outside the top 6 - even pushing the top 6. What is the real issue - tactics / confidence?

Tough to keep sticking with someone you didn't want in the first place but the players are not helping his cause to be honest.

please take your seat on the silva out bus next to @GwladysBlue

nice to have someone mellow on board as most are very irrate

welcome aboard

He's had two windows.

this one which just closed doesn't count. We couldn't do anything due to so many horrible past moves..... again, that is not Silva's fault that he inherited that

I don't want to come off as making excuses for the guy, far from it.... but I am a firm believer in giving someone a fair chance before judging their performance
