Would you like to take up a bet with me mate, i bet any amount of money we finish below 7th.

You want me to bet actual cash money on Everton doing what I consider the very minimum and expecting them to not let me down whenever they possibly can?

Its a no from me.

We have some very, very tough games coming up, but the way everybody else throws points away im quite confident we can finish 7th, clearly not enough to spend money on it, but theres very little I consider worth spending money on.

I enjoyed it far more when we were known as the Mersey Millionaires and I was cheering on Ball, Kendall, Morrisey et al , as we won Titles and Cups.
Now there’s a team to eulogise about.
Sadly that's a long way a way from happening again. Moyes was good at essentially finishing from 8th to 5th, he struggled to compete with the top teams simply because of money. While he made a lot of mistakes during his team, you could at least rely on us to put in a decent effort in most games. Martinez's first season was alright, but every season afterwards has been absolute dross. To be fair it took Spurs quite a long time to become regulars in the champions league and they've only won a league cup in recent years. I was one of Moyes biggest critics, but I've developed a lot more respect for what he did after whats happened in recent years.
There's simply nothing enjoyable about supporting Everton any more, we don't play good football, we're not battlers either. Even in Koemanns first season we produced some of the worst performances I've ever seen as an Everton fan. Being 2-1 own for about 35 minutes at Arsenal and not even creating a chance. I don't expect Everton to finish in the top four or win trophies, I'd just like an end to the endless ludicrous defeats. Losing last week in the cup, losing against Southampton at home in the league cup, losing at Anfield in the 96th minute. Wolves who we play tomorrow haven't shown any fear against the big teams, they outplayed Spurs, Arsenal an Man United at home, and have beat Liverpool and Chelsea at home. Even teams like Palace are capable of going to places like City and Anfield in winning. I don't think a lot of fans appreciate just how awful we've been in recent years.

Yeah there is definitely something wrong - there is just no joy within the team at the moment. I guess that is what happens when you just buy players without a strong core of domestic players.

Back on topic. MARCO is doing a POOR job. He HAS the tools at HIS disposal but his FAILING at doing the BASICS

He must get a WIN tomorrow, there is NO question about that

There really is a question about that. If we don't win, nothing's gonna happen. We aren't going to slip into the relegation zone. We aren't going to lose out on a league title or a qualification place. We are - at worst and most-likely on a short-term basis due to the inconsistency of teams around us - going to lose ground on the 'race for 7th'.

So no, it's not a must win, by definition.

(I'm not saying we shouldn't win - we should be able to - but if we don't win he isn't going anywhere).

I will never understand this. Why would anyone fear that midget? Just silly.

I also don't want our players to fear anything, least of all our manager.
Think Liverpool and City players FEAR Klopp and Pep. If they don,t perform , then their out. THATS why these two are where they are in terms of giving their all.

Siggys job should be to get himself to the edge of the box, waiting for cut backs from Bernard or whoever...just by doing that he will get at least 15 goals thisseason, and will be forgiven for being slower than others. The edge of the box should be his domain. If a shot is on he should be feeding runners to his left and right. Problem that needs to be solved is that our runners don't run half of the time. Eradicate that problem, and we're heading in the right direction.

Further to the above, and the common feeling that Siggy is 'slow'. I think his game is largely based on positional play, and so he is quite effective when he doesn't have the ball. Also he wasn't so slow when he broke away the other week did a quick one two with Bernard, and put Richarlison(?) in to score. So he can be a bit quicker when required!

Assuming if we get beat today due to a Baines moment of idiocy then it will be Silva out again

Players keep making individual mistakes, game after game

If we lose today can this tit finally be punted? Anyone who thinks we will magically improve next season is deluded. Bloke cant work with what he has and has to go.

When I hear give it time. Which by the way I’ve heard since I was born with Everton..

I think why would I give it time? When we get worse every week..

If we showed improvement yes but we get worse. So in a sense time will make it worse?

Oh look more slow boring side-to-side possession 40 yards from goal

Goddamn do I hate this s***ty bore ball. Tiki-taca has ruined this sport.

Would give my left nut to have a Nunes on our side line. Love the way his team is set up to pounce and score directly.
