His signings have been hit and miss from the point of view of ability:

two good signings - Digne and Richarlison
two average signings - Bernard, Zouma and Gomes (who has slipped from good to average in the last couple of months)
one poor signing - Mina

Agree with that. If mina was on a loan then wouldnt be as bad but the 30 mill makes it become a poor signing. If we spent 20 mill on bernard it would probably be a poor signing but the out of contract freebie is a win win situation.

I still believe in Mina. He’s too reckless and error prone, but when he matures I think he can become really good.

Indeed. Mina reminds me of David Luiz when he first came to Chelsea, with his South American temper and defending style. Took him some time to adapt but in the end he turned out pretty decent

Not sure I ever see Mina banging in 35 yard free kicks or picking balls like this but defensively I feel you. haha.

Can't really write either player off yet.

Mina's played about 10 games and overall been decent. Can't really say he's been any worse or better than our other defenders. He's 24 too, plenty of time to grow.

Bernard's shown flashes. Created some really good chances others haven't put away. He was always gonna need most of this season to adapt anyway.

I actually like Mina. After the Chelsea game we should of stuck with him. This whole dropping him and bringing him in for the odd game is not helping him or the team out. Keane won’t be here for years but he might so might aswell play him and stick with him.
