Of course, if sky bet fail to collect money off gullible punters for a few days they'll go bust.

At least that's what they must think. They must employ teams of people who think up stories people can bet on, the frauds.

Think the Gullible one is you. Gambling is a billion pound industry.

It's all just hysterical, really. Some folks just make up their minds on players and don't care about what's actually happening on the pitch. The best is when they decry stats being awful...HE GIVES THE BALL AWAY ALL THE TIME...uh, ya know, there are objective measures for that....NO, STATS CAN SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT THEM TO BE!!!!!!!!
The problem I have with the objective stats argument, is that we haven't really defined the metric that shows that gueye is a great midfielder.

Sure, he has the most tackles, but if you look at the top 20 list you see most of the midfielders on the list are from rubbish teams. None of the top 20 midfielders play for top 6 clubs.

Now that obviously tells me one obvious thing: that players from bad teams probably make more tackles.

But if you're a central midfielder playing for a team with top 6 aspirations, I'd be suspicious of you BECAUSE you were making so many tackles. Great defensive central midfielder play is as much about positioning and ball retention as it is about tackles.

So if you're the "best" centre mid in a terrible midfield in terms of tackles, are you free of responsibility for the rest of the teams play?

Not my point. The criticism I hear most often is that he gives it away all the time. He simply doesn't.

He does though. It's not like all these people watching him do it are making it up. Your argument that he just doesn't is just as debatable. Clearly we are seeing different things.

Yet his passing % is about the higest on the team and despite having the most touches on the team, he has almost the lowest rate of bad control or being dispossed in the team. So until you can show me something that refutes what my eyes are seeing, I'll go with my eyes.

I'm not going to be able to, because you've made your mind up. But my eyes show me someone who makes even the simplest of passes look complicated. And as I've said time and again, pass completion rate does not show you the quality of the pass, only that the intended player touched it, even if they have to run 10 yards back towards the ball to meet it. You can't or don't see it, it's because you don't want to, which is fair enough, but let those of us who do, have our opinion as well without the scaremongering of how we are going to be doomed without him.
