He looks to lack any pace. His head has more edges than a partially twisted Rubik’s cube, and he appears (imo) to be mentally fragile...he looks like a little boy always on the verge of tears. I recall homesickness being brought up as a reason for his sadness and maybe we poo-poohed that a little prematurely.
Also, is he eating a diet too rich in tofu? That stuff turns men into big girls’ blouses...

Anyway, it’s heartbreaking to see him suffering like he is. It’s not his fault he’s slower than a wet week.

He is a decent Centre back if you are going to defend deep and force teams to cross balls into the box. That is why he looked a good player at Burnley, he had plenty of protection in front of him and just had to concentrate on dominating his box.

He has been found out when he has played for us because in the majority of games we need to make the play which means pushing up and looking to play in their half. Silva's high line has just made his weaknesses far more obvious.
You mean he has to play football with us? The poor thing was used to play rugby at Burnley and now they give him a round thing to kick with his swollen feet....

He is so slow that it makes him look clumsy, plus he has no power to recover anything over him or either side and you just know he won't recover to make a challenge or block it, he is just bog standard.

Gets his big gammon head on quite a few things and is fairly decent in the air. Play a ball in around him or behind him and he falls apart.
