ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

First time I’ve visited this particular thread. In fact, only posted on the main page previously. I’ve no interest in Liverpool FC. But had to come here to share with you that an innocuous comment I made in reply to a Millwall fan on the Millwall game thread has been copied, pasted and ridiculed on a Liverpool forum!! My Liverpool supporting mate’s alerted me to it (he’s a good guy btw and only lurks there to laugh at the idiocy on display).

I’m not bothered by it - find it quite amusing in fact. The Millwall lad said he’s afraid to take his kids to the game and I responded by saying I wouldn’t be able to see the point of supporting a team I couldn’t take my kids to. Apparently, according to that lot, I need a course in self awareness!

Anyway, my main point. Do I get any bonus trophies for this achievement?? :)

I think RS fans do need a course in self awareness yes.

Now you see, if you’re going to accuse a poster of being a “RS fan” this is how to do it: with wit and restraint. Contrast this with the traumatic experience of a certain vulnerable poster in the mental health thread that I and several other good lads and lasses have tried to support after he felt devastated about being accused of not being a passionate enough fan. Night and day. Good man ;)

Quote: "Neymar’s version of trying to win free-kicks and penalties is just shameless cheating, but Salah was clever as he lured a foul out of Sakho"

Being "clever" in luring a foul is OK if your name is Salah but shameless cheating if your name is Neymar. No bias there then Mr Aldridge lollollol
Aldridge is the most inappropriate ex-player to Chair their former players foundation but, I suppose, we shouldn't be surprised they didn't choose one with the right credentials as most of them are in the media.

One hopes they only meant something to the effect of it being cruel to take our kids to Everton games which, right now, I have to agree.

Really? If it meant Them winning the league you'd still want us get 3 points that in the grand scheme of things don't really make any difference to us. Not having that. Where are you from? You can't be from Liverpool with that opinion, surely?

Born and bread Scouser lad. I just concentrate on supporting the blues rather than obsessing on everything the RS do.

You’re being too charitable towards them I’m afraid, mate. Amusing that they are completely oblivious to the irony of their comments. But irony is a very British thing and perhaps isn’t translated well into the Scandinavian culture?
