Whether it’s right or wrong it’s impossible to say he gets 3 years right now.
You wouldn’t want 3 years of this, so what gives you the confidence that he can turn this around?

I have essentially zero confidence that he can. There is no evidence anywhere to say he can.

For the record, in an idea world I don’t want him sacked, as much as I don’t rate him I absolutely despise all the manager merry go round madness. But if he can’t do the job he can’t do the job.

What I find even more scary is that apparently the players like working for him. But then perform like this. Terrifying.

Oh I’m not saying he will get three years, I’m saying he should.

That’s fair enough, it’s all only opinion.

To be honest, he got a tune out of this rag tag team made up of five different managers, pre the derby, if he can as he as proven do that again, we will be more then competitive. Nothing is linear and performances can wax and wain as we see pre December and post December.

If I’m being honest, I didn’t expect anything different this season, mid table boom and bust football with an outside chance of Europe. Such is the context of the club at the moment.

We’re in a bad patch of results at the moment, if we sack every manager when this happens, we’ll end up exactly in the same point again, when the sheen wears off our new plaything.

The only couple of reasons I can think of is that it’s crap changing managers all the time and that we still STILL haven’t got a striker in.

To be fair you are saying sack the manager because we lost a few games and you don’t have much hope of progressing from here and you never really rated him anyway.

There are some pretty good points, in a lot of posts here you are choosing to ignore.

You don’t like him fair enough, but lads have put together some pretty decent counter arguments and some decent rebutted different points of view.

It’s always really interesting listening to insights of some of the lads here and being open minded despite the dominating narrative or mood of the day.

I’m really trying to be open minded on lads wanting him out, even though you might suspect I think it’s the wrong course of action.

I find the bolded bit very difficult to get on with. I’m no fan of chopping and changing managers as I’ve mentioned, but I see absolutely no value in keeping one who doesn’t seem up to the job given the clubs current situation.

The caveat is of course that I never wanted this guy in the first place. The new manager bounce was lovey early on but it’s gone.

I certainly feel that you are ignoring some of the points that have been made to get rid.

Mainly that ideally I don’t want him sacked at all. I want him to show something that he’s capable of sorting Everton out.

I despite changing managers so often.

The obvious answer is Kendall etc, but it’s a bit simplistic.

I suspect we are both entrenched and aren’t for moving.

Ah no I acknowledge what your saying, what would convince you, what would he have to do?

Sadly I think sorting out Everton, is a way bigger job then just the managers.

It will all come down to two games:

WATFORD AWAY:
Will the squad size up against Marco's old club, some him respect and fight OR roll over to allow the media pressure to build and help force the hand of the board.

LIVERPOOL HOME:
Massive game to win back some pride and try to restore some faith for the fans after another lackluster season OR the final nail aka The Martinez

I want him to turn this ship around because no one wants to see Everton struggle unless you're from the national media but I think he isn't strong or big enough to take on this job.

It's a HUGE job in terms of history, fanbase and budget which I think Marco hasn't dealt with or managered before taking nothing from Sporting or Olympiacos but if he fails he, he won't get that chance again.

He just hasn't connected to the fans (ie Brand-a-Mania) from the off and his lastest run will do him no favours but ultimately our previous managerial shopping trips to Wigan, Southampton and Desperation have always had a Kenwright feel to them:
Up and Coming
Fresh
Cheap
I can't help that Moshiri wanted more but got advisored incorrectly.

COME ON MARCO FIND THAT FIGHT

No substance and records to back him up as the next Kendell, Sir Alex or even Klopp. Everything points towards he is Martinez mk2. Of course I would like him to show people wrong but it’s like he is struggling to do so.
