There’s an old saying in the recruitment industry that, generally speaking, you should only add to already performing teams as, irrespective of the talent / quality of the person you are adding, they will (more times than not) pick up the bad habits of those around them. There are always anomalies of course, but I don’t know that one or two players would really turn around our season.

In truth, we need a sharp injection of five or six to change the club and dressing room in any meaningful way. As such, January probably isn’t the most efficient time to do that.

I sure hope the club are thinking along those lines anyway.
