I just don't think it works, working as a number 2 here first would be better. I would like to see our next boss having some connection with Everton, so then there's not much choice. Moyes,Arteta, Unsworth

Well Moyes is a no no.Unsy was sadly, out of his depth, when he was manager. As for Areta, not enough experience.I'd like to see Everton stop appointing, mid table flavour of the month managers, and go all out and try and get a top class manager. An Antonio Conte or Carlo Ancelotti.

Absolutely gutted that we’re out of the cup in that way despite having a full strength side out.

I don’t know what to make of Marco and most of our players at the moment. The two cup exits coupled with how poor we’ve been in the league is hard to look past.

Or his Sociedad, Man Utd or West Ham time?
His Utd time was short lived and I reckon whoever took that job just after Fergie would have struggled, Fergie sitting in the stand every match can't have helped much either, sociedad yes wasn't a success but an experience and not many British bosses do that well there, West Ham I think he did ok.

But he couldn't do any worse than silva could he?
Everton though have been a to big if a jump from Wigan,Southampton and Watford, the pressures to much we need someone who can handle that and be able to fix thingquick when things aren't going well. Silva is festering like Martinez and a Koeman did and had to go.
Exactly mate.

Silva could even take us down if he's allowed to continue. We're getting worse every week and need another 10 points yet, but look utterly abysmal every week.

The expectation for Unsy would be to instil some passion into the players and the results should follow. As a defender he should at least stop the crazy zonal marking which would ultimately lead to us conceding fewer goals.

Unless somebody can name a realistic option to come in NOW, then Unsy is the best available.

Do you seriously think they would come here? Even if they did I think they would struggle, they only take on big jobs that have top top players at the club already.

Unsy was in charge against saints last season

It's a huge huge huge no from me

I'm sure this post will be about as predicable to many as Silva's tactics are.

Which are exactly the same week in week out. As we seen from Bielsa the other week, teams have hoards of analysts, scouts and data people, not just at the top level but down into non-league and even semi-professional.

The amount of prep a team does on an opposition is immense, whittling down hours of information into key moments for players to ingest, learn and work on. Yet for Marco Silva every match is the same. The tempo (sloooooow), pressing (or lack of), passing (ole's erupt if a 5 yard pass is made), attacking direction (always down the wings), movement (non existent), aggression (absent) the subs (cause no surprises), set piece defending (amazed if we don't concede) attacking set pieces (amazing if we score); it is all exactly the same regardless of the opposition.

Sure he might go to 3 centre-backs for a game, but it doesn't look like that's been worked on in training.

The way they played tonight was the exact same as it was against Southampton, Bournemouth, Lincoln, Leicester etc etc. Nothing changes at all. Play a team low on confidence - let them have all the ball. Play a team who hasn't scored in 40 away games - let them have as many shots as they want on goal. Play a team who have scored 15 goals from set pieces this season - just give away needless freekicks and let them lob it in.

It's just mind boggling how predictable we are.

And don't get me started on Lucas Digne and his long throws. Throw it to Mina or Zouma at the near post, oh look they have 1 in front, 1 behind, it's been cleared and now they're counter attacking us. So pointless and so so predictable.

To be honest, given how it went last year, I think Rhino’s mental health would be in danger if he was manager full time.

Well if Moshiri could sell to them, what a great club we are, and give them money they need to spend. But looking closer to home, Peter Reid is a man who represents all that is great about Everton. But he hasn't managed in a few years. It's a shame that there is no standout managerial candidates, from the 80's side.

Well put it this way this season Silva hasn't really shown me he's a better manager than unsworth, even last season when Sam came in with his proven keep a team up method, he struggled at times. It's a hard hard job here. I don't really think it had to be a big name manager just someone to get stability and get the players playing together. Training and coaching must be terrible.
