Moshiri and Brands have never even approached Burnley about Dyche, because they have a vision for the club which involves a long term strategy of playing a certain style of football (not the Dyche brand).

In any event, Dyche is having a poor season with Burnley (even we battered them!) and for me he would be a very uninspiring appointment.
He wouldn't be my first choice, but he's a better option than the likes of Howe or other up and coming managers.

I would genuinely go all out to bring Arteta home. He's been learning from the best in the business for a few years now and before that was working under another genius in Wenger.

He'll be wanting to get a gig of his own before too long and it could turn into an inspired appointment.
Why? He has no managerial experience, so could be an utter disaster.

Is now the right time to be gambling on unproven managers? Look at Monaco with Henry, who was a better player than Arteta.

No big name manager will touch us.

Signing relegation specialists has funnily enough not turned out very well.

Time to change our approach.

Haha lol

Arteta could do no worse than any of our previous four managers and will have learned plenty from Guardiola.

Let him shape the squad and accept we're are starting as a rubbish Premier League team and see what he can do in 18 months.

No big four or five year deals any more though please.
I have lots of respect for Arteta but no way would he be a good choice, I don't want anymore up and coming managers, him as someone's number 2 I would like.

That’s the ironic thing - Moyes was a much better DOF than Brands, at least so far!

Oh mate, come off it, your mythologising of Moyes is becoming tiresome now.

Moyes made some great signings for us, but he also had a lot of howlers and quite often he was good on a shoestring but rubbish when he splashed the cash (think Bilyaletdinov, Johnson, Beattie, Van Der Meyde, Koldrup - all of whom were big signings for us). Clearly his imagination knows no limits - when he took over United, his first thought was to sign Fellaini.

Even his infamous "shoestring budget" spending is not what it used to be. You're selecting players he signed like Cahill/Arteta who were signed about 15 years ago. Let's have a look at his more recent budget signings for Sunderland - oh, it was mainly washed up Everton rejects (Darron Gibson, Oviedo).

Mate, he's a manager who is way past his prime and was never a winner even in his prime. He served a purpose for us at a time when we needed stability, but you're making him out to be our next saviour and it's complete nonsense.
