Probably because they all build their players up as being the next Pele. People must fall for it.

helps that the media do all this work for them and add £10m onto any of their players' value.

That's before getting into the one or two game players for us like Peter Degn, Glenn Keely etc. Honestly I could probably get into 3 figures if I was inclined to do so.

He scored some important goals for us last season. I would put him in the Joe Max Moore category, obviously not great but has a run where he did well therefore I cant call him one of our worst ever players as we have had players who basically did nothing for us (or in some cases worse than nothing). I don't care about "ability" or whatever, I care about effectiveness and Oumar showed he could be that.

Don’t forget Cuco Martina.

I have no idea what to expect from niasse as a Cardiff fan. Is he good enough for a relegation battle?

With Niasse, football is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get. It can be comically bad, then a super strike, offers nothing, then a bobble off the knee and in, then ridiculous shots from anywhere, next he’s won a pen, then a spell on the bench and then ...... who knows?

He'll score a few goals, some that he won't even be aware of (YouTube the effort off his arse against Watford) and will give 100% every game

He's ideal for a hit it and hope team like Cardiff are because he works his arse off and can finish. Just don't expect any link up play and some very odd pieces of skill and misses in amongst it all.
