There were long periods today when he just disappeared from the game...unusual for him.
I think his absence was largely responsible for us being overrun by Bournemoth in the first half.

Who do we play there if he goes though? Only midfielder we have that sniffs danger. I'd keep him til the summer.

That is the problem. None of our back ups are better so personally would only like to sell if someone like Decoure is signed. How likely are we to replace him?

I hope we sell him. Probably the last time we can get that type of a fee PSG is reportedly offering for him. Going to be 30 this year, don't think he really suits our longterm project and core of young players to try to achieve something in a few years. He is a nice player, but too one-dimensional. A team like PSG can use his qualities better around fantastic technical players, but in a team like we have with so few creativity, a lot of times his problematic parts of his game show up. Currently we just trade of his defensive qualities for clear lack in the offensive part of the game. I think we need a better all-around player next to Gomes in our midfield. Plus we can surely use some extra money for our summer budget.

It does look that way. But would Brands sell without a replacement? I can't see that. It's a gamble to sell him now but I suppose if they make a bid we can't refuse...

I'm a PSG fan. The french sports newspaper, L'Equipe, juste released a serious paper about Gueye to PSG getting serious. Details about Tuchel and Gueye speaking last wednesday, Everton asking 30M€ (it was 20 a few weeks ago)... You'll hear from it real soon.

The drums dont always make sense, but this 1 seems to be building up steam, I think at this point we are just trying to get as much as possible, Brands will have his replacement primed.

Could be wrong like.

The drums indicated that that Barrios fella was incoming, wouldnt be shocked to see them start up again as we get nearer to a deal being done.
